For those of you who are interested in "exotic" ice cream flavors, you simply have to try the ginger ice cream at the China Town Ice Cream Factory!!! It's to die for. (I also have my eye on their wasabi ice cream, but I haven't quite been able to get myself to try it!)
BTW: The China Town Ice Cream Factory is kind of sort of down the block from Hagen Daz! The tourists that frequent Little Italy and Chinatown don't know what their missing!

OMG MikeK ... you just brought back a little piece of NYC for me ... I love that place (Chinatown ICF) ... when I worked around the corner I would often sneak over for their red bean ice cream ... man, I miss it already! Now, the Haagen Daz down the street: I got really nauseous once after eating one of their huge sundaes ... I forget which one ... probably the mint medley or something like that. Needless to say that was my last visit ... not that I think it was spoiled or anything ... I think it was ice cream overkill ... I'll stick to the simple red bean :)

The mojito sounds GREAT! But when I read the ingredients in Italian Rennaisance, I kinda melted in ecstacy  so it's a toss-up for me!!
RE: Puttin' on a Ritz finalist .. that is just plain NASTY! How did she become a friggin' finalist with that combo? :p

Carol: I dunno ... but you can bet I'll be lookin' for Lickety Splits now!! :)
Paco: OMG, I thought they alllllllllll sounded divine -- except for that Ritz one. Now, as for that RED BEAN ice cream ... red beans are big around here ... and I couldn't help but wonder ... ... does it ... errrr ... um ... never mind!?! :p

I would love the Italian Rennisance- if they would leave out the cherries-
We used to (many years ago) get a dessert called Bisque Tortoni that was an Almond flavored Ice cream/ custard - good thing the servings were small I LOVED it!!!

... when I worked around the corner I would often sneak over for their red bean ice cream ... man, I miss it already! I would weigh at least 300 pounds if I lived or worked in the area!

... I'll stick to the simple red bean :) I like the red bean too, but IMHO there's nothing quite like their ginger ice cream so that's what I usually order. (Yum. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!)
I hope I didn't make you too homesick.

And BTW, I KNOW what you were trying to say :p ... no problems here :D
I hope I didn't make you too homesick. Just a tad ... but it will wear off quickly when I hear the NYC has gotten x inches of snow and I'm walking on the beach :p LOL But I will take your advice and try the ginger ice cream next time I am in town!
