Is anyone else having problems with the "Living with p and pa" forum? I can't get on! It's been telling me there is a database error since yesterday. Is it me, or is anyone else having this problem?

The site crashed late yesterday afternoon (east coast time). It's still not working 100%. Try completely logging out (from both the home page: and the board: ) and see if that clears up the problem. If you still can't get in, then you might want to try deleting the NPF "cookie". If you're still having problems, then you might want to call or e-mail Eric the webmaster. His e-mail is webmaster@here. The main number of the NPF is 503.244.7404 or 800.723.9166. They're in the Pacific time zone.

Unfortunatly, it wasn't a permanent solution. Maybe its' a problem that'll get fixed. I have to log out and log back in every time I want to look at a new thread, and my cookies are deleted only when I log offf. Is anyone else having to do this? I guess I can call or email later if it continues.

Help? No it doesn't help!! FIX IT!! :p Just joking, trying to be funny. I hope they fix it soon becuase I am suffering from some major NPF withdrawl here! Hey, thanks for letting me know that you are having the same problem. It is, at least, comforting to know that I am not the only one. <sigh>
That's ok. I was relieved that it was the site not my computer. We had major computer problems over the weekend and I ended up going and buying a new computer. So at first I thought something was wrong with the new computer. Although sorry that the site is having problems. Hopefully they will get fixed soon.

The site crashed the other day. The good news is that that doesn't happen very often. The bad news is that chat goes off line every time the site goes down. Chat is always one of the last functions that gets restored.

Well, At least everything on the server was backed up, so we did not loose any threads. ;) I wonder though, do you have the latest update for PHPBB ? I also wonder if this site is compatible for Fire fox users ? Reason I ask as I only use FF. on count of the big security issues with IE.6 That browser has more holes in it, then swiss cheese. :D
The only problem I have ever had with FF. on this site is with the back key. Meaning, if I am half way down the page and use my back arrow, it takes me back to the top of the page and is a pain as I have to keep scrolling back down the page and 9 out of 10 I lose my spot ware I was.
Yes I have the latest FF. 1.5.0.7 XP home, SP. 2 and the millions of patches MS. keeps releasing Lol. :D

The site has crashed at least three times this week. (And this is from a site that hardly ever crashes.) Eric the webmaster obviously has his hands full. Once he identifies and corrects that problem(s) that are causing the site to go down, he'll be able to work on gettng chat up and running again.
