Question:
Anyone? Haven't gotten the feeling there is much of a gay population amongst this forum.
There are many people who post who are gay, lesbian and bisexual. They just don't announce it I guess?.
Prob like I don't say to people that I'm hetrosexual...Like religion, politics, favorite baseball teams, I suppose it doesn't matter to me personally what sexual preference people have.
In the long run, whats important is that you get support, information and understanding. Oh and that your favorite baseball team is in a win mode ( mine isn't :( )

Well, again I typed "i got the feeling". I think the topic was suitable for the convo thread and such. Yeah, I agree you don't say "Hi, I'm (insert name) and gay." But well its support to me to get a sense that there are other people who are GAY and have P. yes, it might not seem like not such a rare case but well it in fact it is to me.
BTW Yeah support, information, and understanding is important but baseball would have to be least of my importance. Different interests, for different people.

I doubt that anyone has a problem if you are stating that you're gay (not sure if that's what you mean or not). I think it's more a matter that not everyone is comfortable in being open about it. I know of several people who post here on a regular basis that are openly gay, and it may be that you will hear more from them through personal messages, or they may respond here later. At any rate, I think you'll find that most of us are very accepting of anyone who is also dealing with p or pa, or is attempting to educate themself about the diseases. :) We're a diverse group, and this disease seems to be equal opportunity, unfortunately.
p.s. Don't tell Karen, but I don't like baseball either....lol. :p
Anyone? Haven't gotten the feeling there is much of a gay population amongst this forum. Hello starstriker,
You are correct, there is not a visible presence of the gay community on these boards. From time to time there is even an indication of denial from some posters Needless to say most of the good people here are quick to befriend anyone with an open mind and heart. You might want to consider starting a thread directed specifically at the gay or bi community that deals with some of the specific issues related to this community. Us mere heterosexuals may actually learn a thing or two along the way :) Welcome to the NPF
Well this thread wasn't to create awareness..It was to straight up meet other gay, lesbian, and bisexual people. Not here for awareness on gay people LOL. I have lived to much of my life trying aware people just here to be.
Want to know all things gay then head to www.menshealth.com in their discussion forum section. It suprised me thats for sure. And this is comming from a straight men's magazine to boot. There are plenty of topics to choose from there. No dout.
I agree with Kim in that P is an equal opportunity disease. This is the reason we are here. We share in a common bond in what we suffer. We educate, strengthen and encourage. That is the bottom line to this site. Gay or straight....no dif. And please dont trust your feelings 100% of the time. Feelings are notoriously unreliable in these circumstanses. Feellings will lie and stray one's pespective from objective reality. So please next time you "feel" something take a step back and say, is this the reality? Believe me, you will be the saner for it.
In short let the Mr. Spock in you tame the Dr. McCoy that is too in you. (Yeeesh, how can I say that and still keep a straight face?)
BTW how can anyone not like baseball? You might as well say you hate apple pie, Norman Rockwell and Captain America. LOL

again this wasn't awareness or to call out it was to simply meet other gay people. From what I see everyone posting are not gay at all and are trying inform me about P and the people who have it. Yes, I'm aware of P and anyone can get it. Look at me I'm gay and have P? so I obviously have not broken a mold. LOL... This wasn't to seclude but to have sense of unity amongst gay people in the forum. Thats all...wasn't meant to seclude or any just to meet other gay people.
As for baseball..well cliche for me not to like baseball but I do like some of the men who play baseball but not interested in such activities. HA!
What about Norman Rockwell and Captain America?
Hi Starstriker....I remember a couple threads on gays...here is one I found...it is an older thread but I think some of the same people still belong to npf.....
one is a Mike....think from California
Oh yeah and there is a college student on here that talked about being gay...he keeps changing his forum name so I'm not sure what he's called now...he'll maybe see this thread and respond.

I'm not sure if this is what you had in mind, but there is a thread that was buried for singles. Here's a link to it if you're interested in bringing back up again:
hehe.. I think it's quite ironic that only straight people have posted in your gay thread. At least it's popular!
Best of luck with your P and with meeting other GLBT folks with P.

Annie (Whose wedding party consisted of more gay friends than straight)
Yep.. I'm gay! It kinda sucks you haven't gotten a bigger response from g/l/b/t people. Let me know how the search goes!
True. But all my gay friends came out differently and perhaps a public forum isn't the way for some people to go. I respect those who can and those who can't.
XOXO
Annie
I posted a note. I'm a gay man up here in masnitoba Canada, and my psoriissssssss is ****ing getting to me. Not to mention my social life. what social life now that this came along. Oh well glad to see you out here. later man.
