Question:
This is a true story....the house is less than 15 minutes from me. They aired it on our local affiliates Wednesday night, and I about fell off the couch laughing.
I'm not a fan of obscene gestures myself, so I'll be polite here on the board and not include the pictures from the newstory, but will include the link to my blog to access it should you choose to do so.

Effectively, the homeowner building a new home and the neighbors are in a bit of a tiff about how he's building, etc. The homeowner got mad and had himself a "junior high" moment and has installed a vent on the side of his house (which is necessary), in a particular design (which was not so necessary).
He calls it abstract art....everyone who has seen it calls it what it is..."flipping off the neighbors".
Enjoy the idiocy of some people in the world out there! Could you imagine trying to sell that house later?!?!?!
Call me crazy, but this is absolutely hysterical!!! I've heard of people doing things to intentionally piss off their neighbors, but this is over the top.
I have to admit, it would not be nearly as amusing if it were my neighbor. And being a mother, I'd find it offensive for my child to be subjected to it as well. But it's still funny!!!
You are so right, who in their right minds would buy that house if they ever tried to sell...not me.

I just couldn't not believe this on the news...I mean, I trust my local CBS affiliate (KUTV.com), but still...how in the world would someone truly be wiling to put that permanantly on the side of their house???????
Drove by the house on my way home from work this afternoon....thar she be, bold as brass. I'm going to have to go back and get my own picture of it for posterity.
I don't know...I knew the world had some loons and nutbuckets out there, but this is wild!!!

Okay that is SO funny! I want one on our house! HmMm somthing gives me the idea that my parents won't feel the same way. That's awesome though. :) Thanks for the link.

:) Juanita, it doesn't matter what we do,,,,,the dog gets on their picnic table and sits there and barks at nothing! We do have a sprinkler but to get the dog, we would have to water their yard. :eek: Can't afford that and she would complain.
We have talked to her and now she is so mad she won't speak. The next time that dog barks for more than 20 minutes(city ordinance) we are going to call the police. We can't even go on our porch when that dog is out.
Thing is,,,I don't have to wake up until I want to and she gets up around 6:00 AM and lets the dog out. Really annoying when I am sick or need extra rest.
Maybe I'll get a super dooper water gun and put amonia in it and spray the dog! Naaaaaa that's mean!

You could tape record the dog barking at 6am and then play it back REALLY LOUD right under the window at 3am :)

Granny- they make a motion activated squirter that is designed to deter deer but it might work on the dog- you can always tell the neighbor it is for deer and if she dosen't want her dog to get squirted she should keep it inside until later in the AM when you get up and turn off the squirter.
Actually you can rent them so it wouldn't even cost much. I think it is called the "scarecrow"
I think its great. I would only make one small design change. I would have it design like a fist with a movable middle shutter and every time he flushed the toilet the exhuse would force up the middle shutter and give the international slute.
