Question:
Hi all.........Im a thirty year old female from the uk i ve just joined in a deperate search to know there are other people out there suffering with this horrilble disease.I ve had this for ten years now and even though it clears sometimes it comes back ten times worse, Im real lucky with friends and family but not so lucky with the boyfriend side of things. Im controlling it with skincap on my face and arms can t afford to buy the amout i need for my body all the time.
I ve never met any one with this and would to like meet someone who understands. I socialize, and on face value people think im normal but after a while they notice so i run one way and they run another!Im trying to deal with it as best i can but it s hopeless don t think i will ever lead a normal life im tired of it all can t bear the thought of living like this but what choice do i have.
The doctors here don t know what to prescribe , i ve had all the steriod creams and seen a specialst a number of times and they don t recommend anything but going to live in a hot country as that seems to be the only think that works. Well if they pay for it great! my bags are packed.

Welcome Annmarie. I am 57 I have had p for over 40 years. You will get some great advice and support here.
The UK also has a wonderful message board full of some good people. Where in the UK do you live? I have friends throught the country and can try to hook you up with some of them for some info.
You may also want to pm "mattellie". He can be an incredible resource for you. He lives in Manchester and is absolutely wonderful!

There are wonderfull people here who will understand and advise you as best we can. Abbyroad is one darling person. Accept her invite. Meet her. You wont regret it. I have had the pleasure of meeting her over the weekend at our conference in Portland, Oregan. She's great.
Now about your accent. When reading your post should I imagine more of a queen's English or that of a Michael Caine? How about that of Paul McCartney? Do you live near Penny Lane? Is there really a barber sharing photographs of every head he's had the pleasure to know there? Are there strawberries growing at strawberry feilds? Do you know of a good recipe for strawberries? I don't know...just thought I'd ask.
