Question:
Anyone here besides me playing (or played) Half Life 2 ?
I bought this game last year and oddly enough, finally got around to start playing it about a week ago.
I must be a bit too old (55) for this stuff, but if you need a rush of adrenalin, play this game for awhile. Yow !!!
When I started off, the patrol guards were just waving me on, telling me to "Move it along." After awhile, one guard would start beating me with his electrified club. Then groups of guards were after me with their electrified clubs. Then groups of them were firing at me with rifles. Last night, I found myself in an area that was being patrolled by a attack helicopter. The darned thing was equipped with a machine gun and started firing at me while I had to make a mad dash for cover.
I did manage to escape that attack helicopter, but now I'm in a dark, tunnel built out of stone blocks. The floor of the tunnel is knee deep in water. That's where I left off, but it appears I have to wade through this maze of tunnels
and who knows what kind of hideous thing awaits me around some darke corner.
I've also encountered these creepy looking things that attach themselves to ceilings. A long gooey probe-like entrail hangs down out of them that nearly reaches the floor. If you walk under one of those creatures, that gooey probe-like entrail sticks to you and you get pulled up into their sharp teeth. It's a pretty quick death, so you have to watch out for them and shoot them dead if necessary. Last night I encountered a large group of them, and their gooey probes formed kind of a curtain, blocking the corridor. It was pretty tricky escaping that hazard.
Best game I've played to date.
Great game. Spent $700 upgrading my computer to be able to run the game "really well." $700 +$45(price of the game)= $745. Took me 17 hours of game play to win..... $745/17hr= $43.80 per hour to play the game. Cheaper to smoke crack!!!!
