Question:
Hello, all I'm a college student with a not so common hobby, Photography!
I don't have a lot of nice equipment, most of my stuff is low end or used but I make the best out of what I got! I've even made a website so I can show my photos, the link is: http://www.winterface.org but I thought I'd show some stuff off here in a thread!
My first picture is a picture I took of a spiral staircase in B&W. what makes this picture unique to me is that the shadows casted fromthe staircase form a double helix.
Next up is just a daffodil during the spring I took one year:
The next one is a picture I took of a really upclose flower, but what I didn't realize til I got it developed was I had also captured a very tiny bug hanging out inside the flower.
And lastly a picture of plant that was frozen during an ice storm:
I have over a hundred images now that I like enough to put on my website, but these were just some of my personal favorites I thought everyone might enjoy. If you have a chance take a look at my website for more, I don't make any money off this its just purely a hobby.
thanks all!
Wow, Winterface! You sure are talented. Those are really awesome pics.

Thanks for sharing them :)
Karen
Excellent!
Winterface,
I share your passion for photography! I love the shallow depth of field in the daffodil picture (and daffodils just happen to also be my favorite flower too! ) I would also play with B&W shadow photography and can really appreciate the staircase. Double helix--awesome. Was that a happy accident or was it planned? Also, the white flower, I have always had such a difficult time photographing white. You have managed to capture some wonderful tonality in that picture...and the little insect, well, he just tops it off! :D
I will take a look at your gallery as time permits. I thank you for sharing!
Excellent photos!!! I have always wanted to give photography a try as a hobby but never have.
I am going to go check out your website right now............
Thanks for all the compliements everyone!
Cord, I'd say 60% of my photos are happy accidents, but the staircase was on purpose and I got lucky, I'm sure those shadows would only lineup like that if all the conditions were right for them to do so.
I've never had any formal..."schooling" for photography, so a lot of things are trial and error or what I prefer, happy accidents :)
This is one the things that I do that I truely forget about P/PA while doing.
Awesome! I love the staircase photo!
Nice photos :) Man, have I got the site for you to show off pictures and talk about cameras and such.
Swing by this site sometime. I am also a long time member of this site. Also good place for free computer help as well as a friendly place to kick back and relax on our off topic board.
Great pics thanks for sharing -love the flower's vivid yellow color beautiful ;)
