I don't see any fighting going on Rich ; just people expressing their opinions .
That's not fighting it's feedback . :)

You are a very wise man Rich!
I usually see stuff like this at my daughter’s day care center when you take a toy away from a child. Lots of kicking and screaming!
I'm sure the folks at the NPF have heard loud and clear, and will address the situation in due time.
Enjoy your weekend!
PS – Imagine if the NPF decided that trying to stop the fighting and please everyone on the boards was just no longer worth the effort? Just something to think about.
Rich and Steve,
You all both so right.
Sandy
I don't see any fighting going on Rich ; just people expressing their opinions .
That's not fighting it's feedback . :)
I think it's ok to voice your opinion but when people keep going on and on and on about it, that is just annoying.
Steve,
Exactly!!! I said the same thing to Rich. Some of these folks are acting worse than a two year old.
Rich,
I hate seeing everyone all wound up too.
Who are we to scream and cry about the changes? The NPF makes changes every year in May. That's their choice. I just hope they never get sick of all the bickering and say the heck with this board. If it weren't for this site I would never have met some of the most wonderful people. I have learnt so much about p and pa from this site.
Polly
Wait a minute guys! Maybe I'm not seeing something here?
weren't we asked for feedback? I have not seen any arguing? in fact I'm surprised there wasn't any....knowing how groups can get a little testy! :D
I checked the poll and thought ok it looks like the ones who were interested in voting has done so! I started posting as I normally would! And what happens? I get shot down immediately and was told What I had to say was maybe better off in conversations!...I just ignored it....as I bit my tongue  If I had posted the same thing in comp and alts there would have been no sass! :p
FROM THE MODERATORS:
When the SAME members complain over and over, it's redundant and I would think that fact will be taken into consideration when or IF the NPF decides to revamp the boards.
Polly you brought up a good point. This is a very, very small part of what the NPF does, the message boards, they don't need a forum for membership, it's an extra added bonus for us.
Is it when the same group of members shouts & complains the loudest over and over get their way? Like starting a new thread at every opportunity whining about this, or continuing posting on the same threads over and over and over and over....
Or would it be the amount of different people in the membership post where the moderator had asked for input?
I still haven't made up my mind one way or another as to if I would like the forums split back. It sure was easier. Having been here when it was all jumbled together, I guess I'm a lil more flexible in that respect.
Karen
This membership is more than just a bonus to us, it's also a place where the NPF gains a lot of help....so don't discredit what goes on here.
Now, If I didn't complain about stuff, especially my psoriasis treatment from my docs and derms, I'd be at about 50% plaque by now. So, if you see something you don't like, and you feel you've got an issue, address it.
Now, theres a lot more than one complaining too Karen. People that USE the boards would know......I think there are a lot of good issues being addressed.
In conclusion, psoriasis is not about love, it is about psoriasis.
I'm sorry, Rich and Steve and Karen if you think Ive been out of place because I've posted a lot on this subject. I'll bow out of the conversations, but I hope that others who haven't shared their opinion on the matter will and I hope they will be encouraged to do so.
I haven't seen any fighting. I've seen a large group of people not happy about the changes made to the boards, in fact, I would say it's one of the few times I've seen most of these people agreeing on anything. I think it's great.
We were advised to voice our concerns either here or send them an e-mail. And that is what everyone is doing.
As far as these boards being a gift to us from the NPF, that is true. And I suppose they could take them away. Though I feel it's one of their most valuable tools, in helping members and one of the most cost effective for OUR dollars?
I didn't discredit the boards or how they help people.
Sure the NPF gets some help from the members of the boards for advocacy, leadership etc. Not all though Brad. It wasn't until I was personally asked in DC doing advocacy did I decide it was time for me to take up the challange along with three other great people to start a group in Boston :)
What I said was its an extra added bonus and the NPF does more than the boards, this is a small part of it. Did I say it was less important part, no I didn't.
It would be nice if you would not twist my words around and take things out of context. Thanks. lol. :p
Lori, I'm not suggesting that people not post their displeasure with the boards that's not for me to suggest. What I did was ask questions. What do you think will happen when the NPF reads the same comments over and over by the same members? .
And now I'm being redundant.
Sox Win!
XO! lol

I'm sorry that Steve, Rich, Karen, and Polly find it annoying and childish to speak up about what we feel passionately about, but we have a right to voice our opinion of these changes over and over. You have a ignore feature on your user CP, if it bothers you all, use it.
Patty
I guess I'm out of place and childish as well. Yet I thought I explained my discontent with respect and maturity. I don't believe jumbling the 3 busiest forums together will keep discord from the forums. I believe it will only make this site less user friendly. I will have less to do with this site not out of spite but because I don't have the time to sift thought the mumbo jumbo. Using the search feature will not make it any easier. Having better defined catagories is the way to go. Guess this puts me in the complaining member catagory.
Annie
hello all,

There is a psychology to psoriasis and if you've been on the boards you will understand this. People with psoriasis have issue with the disease and they have every right too. Do you expect people on this message board to roll over and play dead?
The stuff that occurs on the board is a very small issue compared to the issue of the skin and it's condition itself.
Karen, I think it's you and I that Rich is having issue with tonight. BTW, Is this getting posted in the correct forum or should a moderator move it?

Lori, why in the world would you bow out just because someone else doesnt like you expressing your opinion? You cant let others dirrect you. Go with what you think. Your opinion matters.
Patty
I am one who reads lots in this forum, rarely post replies, rarely give much of an opinion or evern ask questions, but the last few days have been a not so good experience for me to read the tit for tat and stabbing at each other - you should all as adults be ashamed of yourselves for taking a change so cose to heart and ruining your awesome resource, just because you don't like change. Nobody really likes change and it's often painful to deal with, even when the pain is going thru something like a change in an otherwise informative venue. Personally, I can't really tell that much differnce other than there are less places to go to read stuff from other members. While it may not be arranged the way one person wants it arranged vs. another, what difference can it possibly make to your personal life????
You just might be stressing yoursleves to the point that your P gets worse - and does that do you any good in the end? Buck up, accept the change, send an email to t he coordinator one time, that should be sufficient and quit whining on and on about how much you dislike the change - you've advised t he folks who can make a change again, so let it go and don't rag on others who don't happen to share the very same opinion as you - seeing some folks saying they are leaving because they don't like the change, or that they don't have time to search more is just truly sounding like a bunch of grammar school kids who gang up on another kid who doesn't follow the piper - get over it - enjoy the incredible support that you proivde to each other and keep on doing exactly that - if you think that psoriasis is bad, try having a 34 yr old autistic son doesn't talk, can't care for himself and has to live in a group h9ome 200 miles away from his Mom - then you won't think that a little change on a community forum is really that big a deal.
My last thought for you all here is that you need to think about the fact that while it is certainly your right to express your opinion, as many times as you might want, how does all this bickering back and forth look to that person who has just found out about the boards, come in for a visit, and finds folks who are trhowing stones at each other - well, he/she might only come in that one time and decide that "I was looking for help" not looking for forty dozen folks complain9ing about a change that I don't even see since I've never visited here before" Give it up and let it rest - change is often an awesome thing!!! Look for that possibility... donna
It was never my intention to fight with the moderator or anyone else. I have posted to voice my concerns more than once because I've been ignored, even though I've asked for a private response...also, my biggest concern was sent 'privately' to the forum organizer and then again forwarded to the moderator as was requested by the moderator. There is no fighting here. Sometimes you have to speak up ..more than once if no-one is listening. I have not belittled anything done on this web-site since the change.
Why is there a need to be nasty and get personal about people that voice their concerns? ie. compared to preschoolers... It's funny that all of the negative postings about the 'change' were just that and nothing more.
We are a group of people with concerns...about health. If we find the energy and determination to discuss this present situation , then please let us do so without criticizem. I'm sure the moderators expect it.
I can't find any worthwhile stuff here anymore.
It's all bickering.....and I can find that ANYWHERE.
Sorry to see such a valuable place for P and PA sufferers go deep six.
I'm off to find another PA forum..............somewhere.
Maybe I'll get $27 worth of good information and advice there.

As for "arguing" about the changes to this forum, all I've done is make one or two comments, that amount to I think the changes "suck." And I believe I repeated someone else's comments about "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." Or words to that effect.
As for anyone else, it's only the "usual suspects." ;)
