Question:
Why???????
Who knows, PSUNNY???...kinda confusing in trying to find certain posts....lots of digging! I'm not too happy with it...unorganized! I think! but as with all things we will adjust! and then there is always MI. :D
It's too confusing for simple-minded folks like myself.
I hope people know how to use the SEARCH feature, because no organization of like topics is going to be the pitts.
:(
I agree! But, I'll adjust, it's just that it is far less organized. I hope people know how to use the SEARCH feature, because no organization of like topics is going to be the pitts.
:(
Why???????
It's explained at the top of all the new sections. Evidently there was a survey or interviews and this is what the consensus was. I feel like someone re-arranged the furniture while I was out!...
Also, it tells you how to use the search function.
I'm a tad lost here myself  except I did manage to find a baseball thread I was looking for. It was like this when I first came to the boards a few years ago, only the baseball threads were included in the P/PA part of the forum...Certainly going to take some getting use to.
I do like the new Psoriasis Community News forum. I think that will come in handy for those wishing to attend a meeting or for advocacy.
Karen
Boy it sure looks like someone came in and had a free for all. I sure dont like the title "LIVING with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis" To me that implys tough luck your stuck with it. I think the whole thing stinks, but who am I? No one they will listen to thats for sure. :(
hey ouchyk...they re-arranged the houses in the neighborhood !
I don't like it much, but...
guess we gotta work harder...hang out in the street more often !
SEARCH TUTORIAL STICKY FOR NEWBIES!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beside the blessing of COMMMUNITY this place is about info !
What is going on?????????????
I used to come on and go to the "alternatives therapies" and now it seems to have been swallowed up into one big mish-mash? =(
NOT HAPPY >=(

ickkk...I don't much care for the changes either! Too much crammed in to too few main headings. Aesthetically, the columns on the far right have too much print, and my poor little brain/eyes can't handle it...tends to make me space out (more than usual!) and ignore what's written.
I generally visit the board at least once a day, and click on "today's posts", without going to the individual subsections. Guess I'll have to continue with that, and hope that everyone continues to be as descriptive as possible in their titles!
(Is it just my paranoia, or does anyone else think this change will lead to even more head butting and disharmony between the "traditional" and "CAM" people? I HOPE NOT!!!)
Living with Psoriasis is going to be much to busy and confusing while the posts in the other forums will be few.
Annie
I feel as if we've been plunked down in the middle of a strange city..."Hold hands and stick together, kids." :)
It's like someone took a mixer to the forums. Even using "Search" I still can't find all that I'm looking for.
I can't use the psoriasis systemic or biologics so I went mostly to C & A,,,,,,,,
This is terrible
I don't get it? Why would they change something that was easy to use into something utterly confusing?
Who are these people that formed the consensus? I don't remember responding to anyone about it. Since when does making everything on big 'generic' pot....especially on such a broad health topic as P become simpler or easier? I've worked in the library system and this seems to be a step backward on the easy access scale. I can't find where I was posting yesterday....i'ts like someone tried to 'shrink' this site..

After just part of a day with this, I feel I want my PA board put back. All the people with PA and all the subjects regarding PA were in one easy to follow forum. Conversely whenever I needed info on a supplement I also knew where to look. I'm not for segregation (lol, those of you who know my posts know that would be the last thing on earth I'd want) by any means, but topic organization is a wonderful tool. This new format reminds me of my kids bedroom floor when they were little.
It's as if someone when in my computer and decided it was all a bunch of letters anyway, I'll just shove them into one folder.
I can adjust but I would like a better explanation than the one I was given. And I don't remember anyone asking me, what I thought. Who were these people that they asked? Were any of them users of these forums?
Well Lori! I was one....I hope I'm not telling tales out of school! but I don't know who the others were (except one) and it was about a 45 minute question and answer period! with very little discussion about changing the format....I do remember being very emphatic on questions pertaining to the format (the way it was) and extolling the virtues of having everything categorized and I must add ...ORGANIZED!
I do not like chaos.....a state of utter confusion! and that is what this looks like!
whew this is not going to be easy to adjust or find what we are looking for...even with the search feature......which I did use often! but only after I had been a member for years!
You want the PA forum back and many of us want the Comp and alts forum back.....will we get it? I sure hope so!
I agree with what others are saying. I liked it so much better before. Now it's too time comsuming to navigate and feels much too disorganized.
Jill
Me too... I can't stand it like this. Bring back the CAM forum, lumping everything together is not the answer.
Just another expression of concern regarding the usefulness of this redone format for newcomers & hurtin' & huntin" visitors with "P".
This new DISORGANISATION would have confounded me had it been in place when I first got here.
Oh well, all 3 of these posts will be buried by tomorrow.

First, we want to thank everyone for your feedback. We recognize that the reorganization includes some big changes that will take a while for everyone to adjust to. We appreciate your flexibility and support.
You'll notice a couple of new stickies in the Living with Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis forum. One is a list of questions and answers, which address the issues that have come up in the past day. The other is a list of search tips to help people find what they're looking for in this new forum.
The message board changes reflect months of research by our moderation team, including in-depth interviews with a broad spectrum of participants. These changes are for you, so we ask that you take some time to get used to the new set-up and continue to provide us with your comments. As you use the new forums more, you'll be able to give us even more constructive feedback about your experience.
We value your feedback, and we will take it into consideration it as we move forward. In the interest of the community, we are committed to giving the current format a chance to stabilize before evaluating its success. Please continue to discuss the changes here and/or via e-mail to the forum moderation team (moderator@here).
It doesn't sound like the "moderator" has much interest in how this change affects those of us who depend on it for support. Let's think about this:
Take a forum that will be used by people in pain, too tired to think straight, too stuffed with rx to concentrate, and shake up the one place they could depend on.
If I felt well enough to follow this new mish-mash, I wouldn't need the forum.
Sorry guys. I wish you all the best of luck, and will think of you often. But, I don't have the energy or patience to dig out what I need. So blessings to all. Thanks for being there when I've needed you. I'll just say good-bye.
