Forgive me if this has been posted, I scanned the threads but didn't see a thread about it....
On the opening NPF page there are 2 people wearing white silicon bracelets, the bracelets say Get Connected....
You can click on and order your free bracelet..... WOOHOO, this is pretty cool.
NPF if your reading this I wish we could order one for each of our family members... or should each family member hop on line and order one for themselves? hmmmm I could also use 15 more bracelets to give out to a preschool class I've adopted. Don't everyone get excited..I wrote a book, about my grandson and me and how we deal with the psoriasis. Their going to read the book in their classroom. Warm weather is slowly approaching and I want to put their little minds at ease and I want them to know about the P before I show up in shorts the first time. Wish me luck, I'll let you know how it goes....

Is this anywhere on the bracelets? Are they advertising their medicine?
No.
They say " Get Connected " they are opaque with colorful sparkles going thru them. :)

It appears as though Amgen gives back a whole lot more than they have to.

I'd wear the "GET CONNECTED" bracelet proudly anyway, but there are some here that with all due respect would not.

I think the bracelets will be nice to wear to educate the public about what the braclets message it for "Get Conneted" and be an opening for telling amd informing more people about psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
As for the support groups, I know it's been told to the leaders of the groups that they are avaible and can be oredered by the group leaders to use at their meetings.I've already ordered some for the Rochester Area group.

I just sent the wristband link to 25 of my close personal friends!!! tee hee!! I asked them all to order one and I also suggested if they were feeling generous that that could make a donation to NPF!! WooHoo!! What a great attention getter! I love it! :D
I went to the meeting and there was a huge bag of bracelets. They are cute and anyone can wear them. So, I will be wearing one.

Just like Nemo, I have been wearing my since I got it during CHD. I have been asked what does it mean. Which gives me a chance to educate them on P and PA if they do not know what it is.

i was able to get a bunch of bracelets this weekend when i helped Olga at the Derm Nurse conference. I gave one to my little brother (11y.o) and he's been wearing it. Today, he told me his teacher noticed his bracelet and asked what its for. My brother told me he said.. "its for psoriasis awareness, im wearing it because i support my sister who has psoriasis"
man, i seriously almost cried when he told me! I gave him one of those big bear hugs he says he's too old to recieve and lots of kisses which he found "yucky"

Thank you to everyone who has requested a Get Connected wristband. The response for the wristbands has been overwhelming and we are working to get them to you as soon as we can. You should see yours in the mail within the next couple of weeks.

My Derm had a display of them in his waiting room last week. I grabbed a couple. I'm all about drawing attention to psoriasis awareness.
It's been about 2 or 3 weeks since I ordered one. Why hasn't it come in yet? :confused:
Ami-can you grab a few more bracelets and send them to us, just kidding! I ordered mine a few weeks ago and will wear it as soon as it arrives...
