Question:
Hey Gang....
How's everybody doing??
Some of u guys know I'm originally from Brazil, but moved to Nebraska.....lol...(Don't ask why...lol) and recently we had 8 people won the "Power Ball Lottery" the prize was just a fair $365 mil. After everything was said and done, each winner received 22.1 mil.
When asked ""What your plans now?"" Most of the winners said ""quit my job, or Take a Vacation.""
My question to u guys is..What if that was you, what would u do??and why??
I actually live 2 blocks from 1 of the winners, his moving to Miami in 3 weeks he said.
Must be nice.
Have a wonderful day Everyone.
Ed
If i ever hit the "big one" , nobody would know....they would just wonder where I was and would worry if I am gonna be home soon to make dinner...I am thinking cruise and travel...I would send them a post card every now and then...lol

If I won that much, I would,,,,,,,
1-Put away enough for my 3 grandchildren for college.
2-Buy both my sons a new home.
4-Buy my son that is single a new car.
5-Buy the other son a new car and van.
Then I would run away with DH, so our sons could not find us! :) :)
hi ed,
if i won. i would just sleep in and get up when i want to. that would be mt start :D :D :D
have a good night all
richard
I would first donate a large sum to the NPF for research. I'd give 1 to 5 mil to the NPF. My donation amount would really depend on how much I won.
I would do the normal new house, new car, etc.
Ready for CHD 2007?
I guess I always knew what I would do if I ever had that kind of money.
I would start by paying off our home, cars, credit cards. Have my wife quit her job if she so liked. I would take care of my other brothers in any way possible. then my inlaws.
After that, I guess the wife & I would take a trip anyware she wanted to go, and for at least two months. Oh, no cooking, cleaning, dishes, etc. Lol.
Then after we got back I would make a few one time donations to the church, N.P.F., cancer research.
I am sure I would stay in our home until I could find a prime peace of land to build on, then meet with a building contractor and have everything, and I mean everything put into this new house. I want a livingroom that is huge with flat screen TV. fireplace etc. Indoor pool, full bar, sound proof room so I can always blast my music. :D I would also have a large room just for my computers.
I would also buy my very own radio station so I could be not only the owner, but GM. as well. I would also do my own air shift.
I guess I would still work even if I had all that money.
Then after the construction was complete on our new home, I would have some type of lottery on the home I am in now, to give away ;)
Depends on how much although givin the chance I have 6 dieases including the psoriosis. I would make donations to the people who need it the most. The people who can't help being sick and help them get to a doctor.
I really don't know any more. I'm sure I would pay off my car and probably buy a new one. I'm sure I would take my girls shopping. It would be nice to be able to buy them nice clothes and shoes. Other than that I really don't know. I'm pretty happy with what I have. It would be nice to have money to go to the doctors. And maybe take a trip. (like going to Las Vegas). A good friend of mine and I had always said if we won we would help the other one out. I would still do that. I would ask Rich to quit his job so we could spend all day together.
Polly
I would def quit my job, open it up for someone who needs to work. Then------SEE YA! 22 Million? Buy A house & a car---how about a house on every continent? and some stocks to keep it rolling. So I can ROLL all over the world............wouldnt it be nice? and Im with the guy who actually won.....Florida baby!!!! No income tax---I am from Assachusetts!
BTW-HuskerEd-I would have to pick you up on my chartered jet and let you wisk me away to brazil for a real party! hahahahahaha, Jen
we had a writing test prompt like this once...except it was our parents winning, and how we would help them.. here is wat i said
1) save for college and unexpected stuff (a lot of it here)
2) go on a cruise/big vacation
3) donate it to organizations(such as this one..)
Hey a fellow Nebraska member!
1) Talk to a financial advisor
2) Quit my job
3) Put my house up for sale
4) Build a house on a golf course
5) Take my wife and kids to DisneyWorld for a week or more
6) Travel and live off the interest gained from my millions! :D
1) Since it seems like I am forever living in debt, I would first pay off ALL of my debt (credit cards, student loans, medical bills, etc...).
2) Would pay off all of my parent's and brother's debt so they also would not have to worry about it.
3) Give generously to non-profit organizations that I have a personal tie to and/or feel passionately about (NPF, San Francisco AIDS Foundation (SFAF), Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse (CORA)).
4) Meet with a financial advisor to make the best use of my money so that I don't blow it within one year or some other absurd amount of time.
5) Buy a modest house or very roomy condo...I'm sick of paying rent, but sure don't need a mansion!
6) So much more...!!!
Ahh, the dreams I can conjur up
gosh.. well I have thought about this. First I would pay off all my bills. Find some good size forested acreage. (keeps from havign neighbors to close..lol) Build the house that I want and how I want it done. while doing that take a vacation here and there. Ofcourse invest money for the future. (my mom already has a tax lawyer in line. the friends she has I swear..lol) Hmm. I know on a far corner of the land a cottage for the idiot so he can stay close to Stephen. After that have a huge party for family and friends. Settle down and get on with life.
Gretchen
Of course pay off the bills I have now, and the people I owe money to. I'd obviously buy a nice new car and a house, but not something I won't be able to handle. I would donate to the necessary organizations. Put a big chunk aside and invest a lot of it. Don't want to lose it all in a month.
I'd backpack in Ireland for a year with Cassie and then we'd get a bungalow in So-Cal together. ;)
Well, we have our tickets for tonight here in New York, so I'll tell you how I'm going to spend when we win tonight (lol--fingers crossed!!)
