Question:
i just booked a weekend getaway for april!
it's the week before easter and i'll be in pompano beach.
the weekend is going to be mostly filled with visiting people i haven't seen in a while but i was thinking...
maybe that sunday we could get a little meeting for lunch going! (April 9)
anyone? thoughts?

You scared me for a second....thought you were putting out a hurricane warning and it's not even season yet! ;)
I'm up in North Florida and can't make it, but there are a lot people down south and a Pompano is a great location for a get together.

My inlaws live in Pompano Beach!!!!!!! LOL!!! Seriously, be sure to visit Aruba's for lunch. It's right on the ocean!

Einna just gave you guys a great idea for lunch. Aruba Beach Cafe. It is right on the beach next to the pier. Address is 1 commercial Bld. They used to have live music on sunday afternoons. The place can be hopping and they didn't use to take reservations ( they may have changed). Food is caribbean/ american.

Just to further the case for Aruba's.....the pier next to the restaurant used to rent fishing gear. The beach is beautiful and because it's about a mile or so north of Fort Lauderdale, is usually a bit quieter. There are a couple cute little shops nearby. The restaurant itself has a lounge area where you can hang and listen to a band. There are also 2 pretty hopping bars that are full of tourists and locals alike.

ahhh i'm so excited! i know it's kinda far away but it'll be awesome! and we'll have a little birthday cake :)
my only request is that we stay kinda local to pompano, seeing as anywhere we meet i'm taking a cab!
therefore I have a van... Not exactly what I dreamed of as a little girl, but oh well. :rolleyes:
Anyhow, my point is that meeting in Pompano is fine, but if a better location is chosen, I'll glady pick you up. So long as you won't be embarrassed to ride in a mini van!!! :p

Hi Jen, I will try and get in touch with you this weekend. I am coming down for the level 8 State championships in Coral Springs. I was down there in Dec. and saw my old house on Congress Ave. (Delray Bch).......no roof....ugh. I forgot that you had moved to Delray, I hope all is well with you...........love to see ya.
