Good thoughts coming your way, Cat. :) Hope they get you all fixed up and feeling much better quickly. Now be a good nurse, and follow the doctor's orders! ;)
xoxo
Good luck Cat!
THANK YOU ALL SOOOOOOOOO MUCH for the well wishes here & via PM (&
sincerest apologies for the lack of response, PM-wise ... been a busy day!!). NPO after midnight so I'm chuggin' a Route 44-sized Coke from Sonic (yoo hoo, Julio ... na na na na naaaaaa na!!) and trying to decide what sort of nasty junk food I can cram down the hatch real quick ... the clock is ticking!! :p Should have only a 1 night stay with this one.
Annie, intended to ask you -- in your experience, how common is it for a patient to have spinal &/or epidural anesthesia for these procedures?? Had no anesthesia consult at pre-op (which is unusual for me) so have not yet had the opportunity to make the request. Fingers crossed, he/she will be a sport and allow me to do that. (FYI, I had a 6-1/2 hour laparotomy with only spinal/epi combo and did just fine -- even talked on the phone in the OR, lol -- so I think I can handle THIS!!)
Dee, covet your prayers, honey ... THANK YOU!!
Jen, THANK YOU. Will be thinking of you & your hubby tomorrow and sending healing thoughts thataway. Looking forward to seeing you again, soon!!
Katie, thanks for thinking of me and starting this thread, sweetheart. Can't wait to meet you in person one of these days -- owe you a big ol' hug, girl!!
And, um, Kim ... I'll behave ... as long as I agree with doc's orders, of course!! :D ;) Definitely looking forward to fiddling around with that Iceman gizmo when I get home ... sounds like it could be fun!!
See y'all in D.C. -- on crutches!!
Be well soon Cat!
Now, tell me about your horse. :p
