I did it-it's a done deed
Question:

I testified and told the truth before the entire NJ Board Of Medical Examiners. We were there Wed from 10:45 am-10:45 pm. My family was with me as well as a good freind of mine who is a psycotherapist. I was REALLY REALLY READY. It was awkward to be on the other side this time(after all I was there two years ago on behalf of my boss when I truly believed he was doing everything on the up and up).

The Attorney General tells me my testimony was strong and that the major point that came across to the board was that I was doing everything I could to help this guy, but that he had his own agenda and was doing what he wanted to do. His attorney tried so hard with everything to discredit me-nothing worked. Even before my testimony they wanted the board to subpeona information from the PA State police about my complaint when the girl hit me in the back and the trooper mistreated me. The board said no, however now I gave the information to the AG and when he cross examines dear old doc next week-it will come out that the good old doctor learned of this information during the course of his medical treatment to me. Now he was willing to use it against me to stop me from testifying about his fraud.

I feel so much better. He stared me down, he tried so hard to initimidate me. He used simple tasks he had given me to do during my course of employment, ans twisted them to make it look like I was helping him to commit fraud! I SOOOOOO did the right thing by going forward to the authorities when I did. I am so very proud of myself and I have learned so very much from this-mostly never to trust. I've worked in this industry for 27 years, and even though Im now too sick to do the job like I used to and Im in this mandated retirement, at least my name and my reputationis still very much intact, and there is no price tag I could attach to that.
My integrity is intact. I feel restful now, and maybe my reactive arthritis will calm down!

Elaine,
I hope that you heal both emotionally and physically. You've been under such stress. I can't even imagine what this has been doing to your body.
Do something nice for yourself today!

I am taking care of me, and I am feeling very relaxed-now just waiting for the storm to arrive. Just saw Philly live on TV-blizzard conditions there right now and it's on 3:23 pm! Lookout east coast!

I was just wondering about you, but I knew you said you were going to hibernate afterwards for awhile : ) - thanks for letting us know how it went.
It takes a strong person to do what you did - good for you. That is really awesome.
I'm so glad that that stress has passed now for you - what a great relief it must be, now that it's over! Take care, keep us posted -

Elaine,
I'm sure you're glad that is over with. Please don't let one bad apple keep you from trusting people. Just be cautious. If you never trust again it will make you anxious and you won't be able to enjoy life. Remember there are more good people out there than bad. It just so happens that the bad stand out and the good just go along in life doing good, like yourself.

I'm sure you are relieved that that is over. You can concentrate on getting better now without all that stress. I have to say that I'm also proud of you. I know that had to be a hard thing to do and go through.

Now maybe my meds won't have to work so hard, and I can get better. It'sw been a really lousy time since October. Thanks for thinking of me!

I don't want to ever represent another doctor ever again. This whole experience shook my trust to the point of no return, and if I ever go back to work, I want to do fraud investiagtions now. In this way,I never have to believe anything coming out of the mouth of a desperate doctor who's in trouble. I will enjoy life now, and your right about the good people-we fail to notice them. I thank yo so very much that you count me among them that is a real compliment :) Thanks for supporting me Annie. The support I got in this group had a lot to do with carrying me through:)
