Collect Questions

Well the journey is about to begin. We are expected to close on Hotel Rosey this afternoon and be on our way to Arizona. I will be traveling with two of my favorite companions, my DW Carol and man best friend Patches. I have and excellent navigator who is adapt at reading maps and making split second decisions as we traverse this great country on route to Arizona. Patches will be doing the navigating!
We will packing up the car tomorrow and hopefully be on the road my mid-day Thursday. It going to be a long trip but I looking forward to starting the next phase in our new home.
As you know this trip in of itself will take about four days to make the trip. I will then have to have new hookup for my internet connection so I may well be away from the computer for a couple of weeks at least. I will be checking in with friends and hopefully they will keep you all posted on this journey
I want to take this opportunity to wish all a happy and healthy New Year to you and yours. May the New Year be free of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, and may all your love ones be healthy, safe and free.

Mitch, I can't wait for you to get here! I know everyone back east is going to miss you like mad, but selfishly I'm thrilled you'll be a short plane ride away in just a few days. Hmm...mind already working on the Welcome to the West party...

I'm so happy to hear that the closing went off as planned, and you're on your way to a new and exiciting adventure. :) I can't wait to have you this much closer to the west coast, and I'm sure you'll bring a crowd of followers with you...lol. Have a safe trip, and call when you get a chance.

I just got off the phone with Mitch and he's near Florence SC...slowly making his way across this great country of ours heading towards a new life adventure!

I'm a bit late posting today's update, but I spoke with Mitch this afternoon (Saturday), and he was in Alabama, and planned to make it to Louisiana for tonight. Give him a holler and wave as he drives through, Joey....lol. Sounds like they are enjoying their adventure, and anxious to make it to their new home in AZ. I'm sure there will be a New Year's update from someone tomorrow. :)


MITCH UPDATE:
Spoke with Mitch on New Year's Eve -- they'd stopped in Baton Rouge for the night and he expected to make it through my town sometime Sunday (they'd planned to stay the night here). Was SO looking forward to seeing them.
Unfortunately I had a little accident New Years Eve and ended up spending part of the day yesterday at the ER (final verdict -- torn ligaments in my knee). Mitch was informed in time to revise their travel plans -- they instead headed south and ended up staying the night in a small town I've never heard of down near San Antonio. Spoke with him last night and in typical Mitch-style, he was more worried about ME and spent the conversation making me laugh!! :D :p
They've had a great trip thus far -- Patches-the-navigator has been a real trooper and they've gone sometimes waaaay outta their way to avoid bad weather spots on their journeyto AZ. Texas will likely be kind to them -- it's been like spring here!!
