Question:
Any ideas on how i can make $400? I need it to go on a trip, but im not sure how, cuz here in nc, u have to be 14 to even be CONSIDERED for a job...and well, im 13. Please write back with any ideas.

Babysitting or shopping for those who either can't physically or just don't have the time are always good money makers. If you were up north you could shovel snow! How long do you have to make the $$$
I'm really go to age myself here....newspaper route. We used to the route in our neighborhoods by bike ( used Mom and the car when it rained). I guess those days are gone.
Have you tried getting sponsors from local businesses? You Kinda have to offer them something in return, like a blurb in the local newspaper .

i have till august..and it just never snows here, but when it dose, i do shuvvle, i make bout $50 a day there. and yah, newspaper routes..don't work any more. but i think im gonna start putting adds up for the babysitting and pet walking, cuz im red cross certified. thanks for the ideas :).

I also was going to say babysitting. Jessi used to cut peoples grass for money or wash their car or rack leaves.

basement clean outs
dog walking
babysitting
fence painting (read Mark Twain for helpful hints )
driveway sealing (just follow the directions on the can :-)
bake sales (bake cookies cakes and pies and sell em at a profit-- this is harder than it sounds unless your parents unwittingly subsidize the cost of the ingredients LOL)
80 hours @ 5 bucks an hour does the trick

A lot of people make money by selling stuff on ebay. I've never done it, but I'm always amazed at what people will buy and sell on ebay.
put you some fliers out and put your number at the bottom on little tear outs .but be carefullllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll lll i ran into trouble when i was a kid working for people not everyone is nice out there.

In the Spring - get a group of your friends and hold a car wash at or near your school.
Place an ad in the local supermarket bulletin board that you will help out at large yard sales. You can come up with something on a 3 X 5 card and market yourself.
Donate blood at the bloodbank (but bring your own needles.)

Airtran is running this awesome special! Not sure if the airline runs out of your area or is going to the destination that your looking at .
I don't do " Wendys " myself but I heard about college kids in Boston doing dumpster dives looking for the empty cups lol.

I think babysitting and dog walking is your best bet!! I know you'll be great at either! And your folks might not want you picking out of a dumpster or eating Wendy's food lol. Soda has no nutritional value....

You are in the Bible Belt. There is a church on every corner. Go to several churchs in your neighborhood and talk to the Pastor and/or Administrative Asst. Have them run the ad (sitter or light chores) in their weekly newsletter. (This should get you a more honest credible paying client.)
Based on what you have told me - I think that if you explain why you are trying to get the money to a couple of local Ministers - that they might even find some errands around the church for you and/or take up a special mission related collection.

When I needed money for my apartment deposit I held a garage sale and asked my friends and neighbors if they had some jusnk they didnt want. I made like $250. Then I collected cans from my neighborhood and friends and recycled them (I don't know what they sell for over there) I made $75. Then I sold my paintings on ebay and sold some knitting to my relatives and made the rest of my money. Good luck! Where you going anyway?
