Another way for the medical field to waste money.....
It took 9 years of medical studying on being able to choose the gender of their baby..... Is this a waste of money or not,,,so many MORE IMPORTANT LIFE THREATENING ILLNESSES THIS MONEY CAN BE USED FOR,,,,their all playing with MOTHER NATURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do they not have better things to study on than the sex of a baby!!!!!!! They need to study more about what causes babies to be born with illnesses..........

Rabie shots for the easter bunny? Its crazy. People should worry whether their baby is healthy, end of story.
If the sex of your child is what will determine whether or not you want to conceive perhaps you ought to adopt a puppy from the pound. Taking away the blessing and the guessing doesn't seem quite right, IMHO. I agree, let's spend more time and money trying to eliminate congenital abdormalities.

I'm not saying that the money used for this research couldn't be better spent on trying to eliminate congenital abnormalities, but some of these abnormalities are sex linked and to know that you could prevent that abnormality by concieving one gender or another would mean the difference of deciding to have a family or not for some couples.
