Question:
I'm dating a co-worker/friend now. How can I not screw it up? because I dont want to and it would hurt me if something stupid happened.
Thanks!
Quinn
Be yourself and relax. Try not to be so nervous. One thing I wouldnt do is talk about the relationship with other people at work. That right there can cause problems. Also try to get it seperate at work. Save the good stuff for when you are off the clock. Good luck. Hope it works out good and you're happy.
Patty
I agree with Patty,,,,but would add be open and honest and never, never get drunk while you're with her. That's when things happen,,,,,stay in control of yourself.
Honesty is the key~~~~~hope it works. :)
Good advice from Patty right off the bat, be yourself. Don't try to hard to impress. And above all respect her, and yourself. Keeping the personal stuff out of work is also good advice. It keeps people from gettting on your case. However don't ignore her or deny your relationship, that would be hurtful. You're a very nice person Quinn. If this goes well, she's a lucky girl. If it doesn't, she doesn't deserve you.
XOXO

I need to come clean. I'm not dating a girl...
You know what, the same rules apply whether its a girl or a guy. Its all about respecting yourself and the other person. Like Annie and Granny said, be honest and keep the personal stuff away from work. Also no drama at work. I hope it works out for you and you're happy.
Patty
I have been involve din this for many years. Keep it separate............. we always use that as a "get back" kinda thing.
Patty is so right. The same rules apply. I have found that being honest and open about everything is the best thing to do. I hope it works out for you.

Quinn, I'll tell you one important thing is to keep private life and work life seperate. Not discussing work during private time and not bringing private issues to the work place will keep a relationship much stronger.
Quinn,
My advice remains the same. And it's cool that you have the confidence to tell us. I'm proud of you.

I think you've gotten great advice from everyone. I'll add my 2 cents ....relax and enjoy yourself. While a new relationship can be very nerve wracking, it can also be so much fun!

I agree... just relax and being your wonderful self in this new relationship. And yes, bravo for being your self with us... we love you.
Krista :)
Not much I can add to all this advise. Just be yourself, and don't press to hard. Hang in there and have a good time. One date at a time.

Hey Quinn,
When stupid things happen. We can learn from our mistakes.
When amazing things happen. We can learn from our good fortunes.
It is our choice to become wiser or continue to be mired in past failures.
Be honest with your new relationship and hopefully you will both have an amazing future.
Quinn,
Congrats on your new relationship, and I hope it goes the way that you want it to. :) Just remember that at your age, you still have a lot of people to meet, and this may or may not be "the one." You've gotten great advice. Be yourself, and anyone worthy of you will love you as you are, and you should be prepared to do the same. Take your time, and let the relationship take whatever course it is meant to take. You're a cool person who deserves the best. :)
Hey everybody.
I just got back, and I read all your posts. He and I aren't speaking much anymore, so it never really worked out in the end, but I don't care.
