Question:
are the number of posts going to come back under some one location thing. i hope because it makes it so hard to find new people for me. if not thats ok to. i will just have to look harder.
have a good night all
richard
Rich,
nope they took them away!!!!
love,
Polly
Hi Richard,
The current version of the Board doesn't include a post counter on each post. You can find the number of posts that each person has by clicking on their screen name and viewing their profile. (I do that every time that I see an unfamiliar screen name.)
I hope this helps.
Mike
hi mike and polly,
thank you. the way it's know. you can't tell who's been here to look up to. hope you can under stand what i mean.
have a good day all
richard
Rich,
Your welcome and I know what you mean. Oh well, what are you going to do.
love you,
Polly
What does it matter how many posts we have? If someone is responding and looking for good, experienced advise and hasnt been around long, or have a lot of time to spend posting, does it mean they are not going to get advise from you? Seems to me you are the type someone like me is looking to gain knowledge from?
It's just that Rich is our official greeter. He likes to welcome anyone that is new to these boards. Now it will be harder to know if someone is new for him to do that. other than that reason it really doesn't matter how many posts a person has.
Polly
Jenna, Rich is the offical greeter on here. He greets all the new people with a very warm welcome. You know trys to make people feel welcome here. He can always tell by how many posts a person has if he has greeted them yet or not as he always trys to greet them right away. Otherwise its not really important how many post someone has other than congratulating people when they hit a milestone number of post. I hope this explains it.
Patty :)
ok, i get it. thanks.
your welcome!!!!
Polly
Just to clarify,,,,,Rich was made our official greeter by the people,,,not the NPF.
He is always so nice to everyone and ALWAYS welcomes a new person,,,,,,,,well, he misses one once in awhile! When he saw a "1" he knew right away that they were new.
We also call MikeK our official "linkmeister", cool that he can remember where everything is,,,,huh? :)
hello all
sorry if i let any one down. but i can't welcome people like i did. it takes to long to find them with out numbers. i don't want to miss to many so im not going to try. i like to give a 100% at what i do. if i miss to many i will feel bad for that. that's just me. sorry i can't do it no more
have a good night all
richard
Rich,,,the new ones will never know anyway,,,but i'm sure you'll pick up on a new member....
Hi Richard,
I'll send you a PM whenever I notice a new member, but like Arl said I'm sure you'll be able find more then a few of them on your own!
Mike
Rich, you can look in the upper right corner at the "join date" If it is the month we are in, that will help.
Good thinking Granny!!! I didn't even think about that. You are one smart cookie!!!!
Polly

Thank-you all. You guys have all changed my life in the past couple days, since i first started checking these boards. Telling everyone I know!
Still learning, how and when to post. I kinda worry about posting to much. Or not being clear. Anyways, I plan to be around and posting! I've learned more in the past 48 hours than i have the past 12 years. Most of all, I'm not alone.

It was obvious to me very soon u were the "greeter" whether official or not, it helped to get a message from a current member. I am working on starting a support group in Central WI and am grateful you are out there replying to new members. I will IM you if I see any new people.
