Here we go again. While I'm happy for the gulf coast that this thing's not pointing at them, I wish it would take it's eye off Florida.

Actually, jrs, we call it 'the cone of death' down here. Spending the day doing all those hurricane stuff....will decide tomorrow whether we hit the road( we're taking the Rubbles, Dino and Bam Bam ...leaving Wilma behind).
What a year it's been. This is the last named storm in the English alphabet and then they would be moving on to the Greek alphabet. Let's hope that the last letter will not only close the alphabet, but also close the season.
By the time it's gets over to the east coast of Florida it should have diminished to a cat. 1, so I'm sticking around eventhough my wife wants to get out of Dodge.
This year it seems the gulf water has tansformed hurricanes into monster storms. I don't recall the gulf water having such an effect in previous years. The claim is that we are about 10 years into a 20 year cylce of hell. I guess Andrew started it and we have another 10 years to go.
alli thats cute. hollis be more then careful. i stayed home for rita and wish i hadnt . i sat through betsy, andrew,katrana and rita and just missed camile i give up. i had enough. im hitailing it out from now on. jackson miss on a sat night for me. push over cowboy give me chilly one. lol

I saw a guy on TV last night who is a meteorologist. He used to be a TV weatherman in Idaho. He quit because he became convinced after Katrina that the weather is being manipulated by foreign governments. He said he laughed the idea off for a long time, but now he believes it.
