I'm back......
Question:

.......and feeling better than ever!!
I eventually got a bed and a hospital admission on 9th September and just got out today.
After nearly 4 weeks my psosiasis is so much better. The treatment was rest, twice daily baths and dressings applied to topical ointments of Betnovate steriod and Dovonex.
I was very ill went I went in as I had 95% coverage and my legs were oedematous and about ready to burst. I had lymphoedema and was erythrodermic. I found it difficult to walk and had developed flu symptoms due to the erythroderma. I could no longer control my body temperature and had just about given up.
Within 10 days of the above treatment my symptoms were gone although the psoriasis was still present but beginning to fade. 4 weeks on I am still 90% covered and new psoriasis is coming through although it's only very thin now. I am still unable to work but the benefit to that is I shall have the time to continue with the ointment applications and tomorrow I am starting the new diet for excema that two or three of you have suggested. It's a good time to start because at least my skin is better than it was, so I have a 'head start'.
I have also been started back on Cyclosporin (200mg daily) until the hospital can secure funding for Raptiva. No derm patient has started it in my region yet as it was only licensed in the UK for psoriasis 2 months ago. Sufferers of Rheumatiod and Psoriatic arthritis have been able to get it for a little while now in the UK.
I don't expect the Cyclosporin to do much - maybe keep it at bay - but the intention is to do just that until I get the Raptiva. I was on 300mg of Cyclosporin before and I still had fairly bad psoriasis.
So I'm luckier than most - not as lucky as some, but this is who I am and what's going on with me at the moment. I have every faith in the diet if I can stick to it and I've geared myself up to it, so sticking with it should be easy, I hope.
I will let you know how it goes....
.....keep smiling!!

Hey Wendy welcome back. Glad to hear you are doing better. I too am waiting for approval of Raptiva but here in the US it is a lot easier to get.
Hope you keep improving and the future is clear skin and pain free.
