Question:
My daughter left to go on vacation today, she'll be gone 4 weeks. This is the first time I've ever been away from her that long.
Her dad took to her TX and I miss her so much. Please somebody tell me it's going to be ok.
I know exactly how you feel......(I just started a thread about this a couple of days ago--"we love our kids").
I'm sorry for your sadness.....but maybe you can start some sort of project, make something for her, something that takes about 4 weeks to finish.........as you get close to finishing it she will be coming home. As you make it, it will bring joy to your heart in more ways than one.
good luck........I'm thinking of you.
Awww....Louisey. :( It's tough to have them gone so long...especially at that age. The first time is even more difficult. I hope you'll be able to talk on the phone almost every day. That helps a little.
Even though my 2 drive me crazy most of the time, I missed them a lot while they were at my mom's for 2 1/2 weeks. And then my son came home, and I left the next day to go spend the last few days with my daughter and mom. So I think in the past month, I've seen him about 2 days. :( At their ages (14 and 15), they tend to have their own lives now, but it's still tough having it so quiet. Hang in there. Maybe you can manage a quick escape to Boston so we can cheer you up! :)
xoxoxo
I sorry you feel sad. I feel that way when my older daughter(13) spends the night at a friends house. You will be ok. Try to relax and enjoy the time that she's gone. It will go fast. Before you know it she will be back home.
Take care,
Polly
Coach had an excellent idea... !! Create a project that will be finished when she comes back home. How about a special scrapbook of pictures and her drawings... ? Save the last page for pictures of her in Texas...
Hang in there. Kids are so precious and they grow up so very fast...
Ellen and I will feel Empty Nest Syndrome when our one and only son goes away to college in the end of August...
(We just went to Orientation at his University and a professor said that we're not losing a son... we're gaining a car.)
Blessings,
Joe
