We live in Panama City.........actually on the weather channel..they let you all know where I am by writing PAM just about where my house sits!! :) (Thanks weather channel).
I pray this one doesn't hit Florida............again!

Answers:

I must admit that I'm scared to death down here in South FL. It doesn't look good for anybody in the state. There are no supplies to be found anywhere down here thanks to Frances.
I hate to wish Ivan on anyone, but FL has had more than it's share this year. It's time for somewhere else to take the brunt.
I wish everyone well. Be safe and take care!!!

If it would make you all feel better. Im gonna pray that it by passes Fl and comes into the Gulf. And hits Texas. My best friends lives in Jacksonville. And she is 8 months prego. Everytime a hurricane has hit I am glued to the tv. And her hubby is in the Navy so there have been times he has been stuck on base. So dont feel bad. Wish it at me. LOL.

Does anyone need a care package? I'd be willing to send whatever you need.
batteries, candles, candy, soap, towels, etc......is the mail coming through? don't hesitate to ask......I can get it off in no time at all........

Sound like evacuation time! Anytime now guys!
We got remnants of the last one! We had 8 inches of rain in one DAY! Schools were closed, because roads were closed! People flooded out of their homes!
The rain blew up under a loose shingle, the roof leaked and part of my cieling collapsed...What a mess!

Sally -
Thank you so much for your generous offer. I think I speak for everyone down here by saying how much it is appreciated. Fortunately I took an extended lunch today and went to the store. I actually found most of everything I need. I've got a few more days to find 'C' batteries and more propane for the grill. My husband's company had several skids of ply wood shipped in for employees. That alleviated the problem of having to find more since we had to use what we had up for Frances as a temporary fix on our roof. Anyhow, again I appreciate your offer whole heartedly. Thank you!!! :D
BTW, mail has not been reliable around here. I haven't gotten a lot of the bills that I usually receive by this time of the month. That could be a good thing, except that I don't want the payments to be late!!!
Take care and I'm thinking of you all.
Jen :)
PS - on a side note - my P is flaring terribly. All of this stress is going to kill me.

I only have a few moments but I must tell you all what it is like for the people here in FLA that were hit by Francais. All over Palm Beach, there are still trees laying in the road. Practially all the stop signs are blown down. Street sign as well as directional sign, blown down. The water is contaminated- the hotel we stayed at last night on Palm Beach Island had mold growing everwhere- since it had been locked up for practically a week. No hot water and rust running out of the tap... it WAS a 4 star hotel- Anyway, We thought that we were going to have to stay at some staffers house as everything everywhere is sold out -but luck came through and we got rooms at the Hampton Inn- no mold and clean water and air conditioning.
Jet Blue has flown in about 3 dozen generators for JFK to let the folks down here that have no power use- until electricity is back on.
Everything is boarded up and there was a cerfew- lastnight after work at 10:30PM we went to get something to eat and a Cop pulled us over and told us that we had to go back to the hotel or risk getting ticket. All the restuarants are out of food and so are the Grocery stores. Its scarey. I dont like this one bit.
ITs nuts here, I tell you.
Krista called me and she needs to go down to the Keys to take care of her boat... the threat of Ivan is very real and also very scarey, I am wishing all the folks in this area the very best. There are houses here that have been demolished and its very sad to see these people go through this.
All our flights are sold out leaving West Palm Beach and everyone is headed North...
My plans have changed so that i am now booked to fly to JFK on Monday so as to avoid the storm and stay in JFK until the storm passes and then its back here to Florida.they are thinking Ft. Meyers is going to bear the brunt of the storm, so Ill probably be going to RSW instead of PBI- but either way, this state is having a hell of a time, and if I werent here myself, I would'nt really have a grasp of how dire things are for some folks down here.
Say a little pray for them all, they need it. Even if this storm passes them over, and I hope it does, the have already been though enough.
Ill be in touch.

You guys are the best!! I can't believe this storm, pray for the 50+ people that have already lost their lives in Grenada.
If it stays on the track that it has been on all day.....We are out of here!!! Nick (my oldest son,23) is flying several local planes from the Panama City airport up north for protection. We may (?) hop on one tomorrow.
My son Matt (17) is working at the local ABC news station (camera operator) so he is not able to leave, he will be working aound the clock. I'm not sure I can leave him here. Hmm???

I'm thinking of you, Coach. Please be safe.
