Question:
While I think its important to blow off sometimes when our P & PA get us down and the world seems bleek it also disturbs me at how much anger there is on this board and because I think balance is important in coping with this condition I thought I'd start a thread on giving thanks. Just think of one thing in your life which you could give thanks for - it can be as silly as you like.
Here's mine:
Thank you for all the great people I have met through having this condition.
Thank you for chocolate cause I love it.
Thank you for my dog - he's always ready to come and snuggle even at 4am when I cant sleep.
I give thanks for my family and friends... who never treated me any different because I have P.
I am thankful that no matter how long I am gone from here I can come back and all of my pfamily is still here......just as supportive.......the best people ever!!!!!!!
I am thankful for my dermatologist and his staff who have gone way out of their way to make sure I got my medication called in to the right pharmacy where I am vacationing.
I am thankful for my landlady here who carried my bag of groceries up the stairs for me yesterday.
I am thankful for my friends on this board who have helped me so,
I am thankful that I can call upon my own experiences with PA, my book learning and my field of study to help other people
I am thankful that I have a safe place to talk about how it feels to have psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis....good and bad.

I'd also like to give thanks for all the great people I have met...both in person and soley online.
I'd also like to give thanks to psoriasis because without it I would be a vain person who sees others aflictions as humorous. I've learned a lot from having this disease.
Thanks for bumping this thread, I somehow missed it the first time around.
I'm thankful for all of the people that I've met through this site. (Both in person and on line.) I've made some wonderful life long friends here.
I'm thankful that venting to Michele (luvwinnie) in a PM led me to a wonderful cardiologist who may have saved my 85 year old father's life. I am thankful for a house to come home to, clothes upon my back, food on my table, a job, friends, family and the freedom that I have in the greatest country in the world... I am thankful that I can worship freely and that I can get inspired by folks such as yourselves, who freely give your advice, your support and your prayers when I am in great need of them...
Blessings,
Joe
I am thankful for all those who have been there for me in my Darkest moments and have shown me great understanding. True friends show there colors not when times are good but when you at your worst, and I can say I have been at my worse over the past few months.
and I think some here have forgotten the virtues put forth in this thread
just another thanks to those who have proved themselfs to be a kind stranger in a harsh world.

I want to give thanks for the wonderful doctor who brought my daughter safely into this world when all hope seemed to be lost. She would have either have been born dead or brain damaged if not for the quick thinking actions of that doctor and I will never forget what he did for me on the 4th Sept 1999. He even sat next to my bed through the night when I felt alone, frightened and in pain and reassured me and supported me when no-one else was around.
I watched my daughter in her school play on Thursday (she was a caterpillar) and I thought to myself 'How blessed am I?'
Thank you Dr Alunni I owe you more than I can put into words

Hi,
I would also like to give thanks to my Doctors. I have a fantastic gp that has literally saved my live over different illness I've had. He is one in a million and I wish him lots of luck and good wishes as he takes his practice to Durham, North Carolina. He will be leaving the Rochester area as early as August and will be now a Clinical Associate Proffesor of Medicene in the Internal Medicene Departmet at Duke. His wife will be the Cheif of Vascular Surgery at the Duke Medical Center. He has been an inspiration to me with not only his care as a Doctor, but as a man with a wonderful sense of humor, knowledge, care, and a man I'm proud to call a friend. Good luck to you, your wife and your 4 children as you travel on to a new phase of your life. You will be missed greatly.
I also give so much thanks to the Doctors I have, Dr Chris Ritchlin, without your work in regards to Humira, we wouldn't be experiencing releif from p and pa. Thanks to you and "Robert" for all the care and time you give your patients and the interest you show in psoriatic arthritis. I was blessed to be able to be your patient and friend and will do everything I can to help further your quest to help other people. Thanks to you so much.
I have many other Doctors I give thanks to for many life altering sitituation and I give thanks to them all.
Sandy
