Question:
I just got home and I found a note from my mom. She said my grandmother hurt her knee and they went to the hospital. I'm really worried because she's almost 90 and I love her so much. I'm going to keep praying that she's going to be fine. She's always been strong, and she'll get through this.
I'm going to lay low for a while. But I'll return soon.

She's fine now. After I logged off, my mom called me a minute later. She said she's alright and it's not life or death, so I was relieved. I had these scary thoughts of what might have happened and stuff. She's just got to rest and not walk on that knee for a while, but that's going to be tough because her 90th birthday party is Saturday. So thanks you guys for the support and prayers and I will see you guys later! :)

When my grandmother turned 90, we had the most awesome party for her. All the relatives came from all over the country and we had a blast with over 200 people. She loved it and she wore her pink boa around her neck all day....she was our little princess!!!!!!
When she passed away last Sept (93yrs young) we all got together again.....yes over 200 people........in the state of Connecticut where she began the "family" almost 100 years ago. It was a sad occasion but we were all there to celebrate HER.
Grandmothers are true blessings!!!!

Granny- I think her birthday is on the 13th. And I mixed the days up. Her party is on Sunday, and I have to go out of town Saturday with my family.
Pamella- You're right about grandmas being true blessings. She's been a great friend to me and I will always love her for that. I had the best time spending the night at her house when I was young, and still I do enjoy going over there. With all the sons, daughters, sisters, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, students (she was a teacher) and friends she has, I believe there might be about 100 people at my aunt's house Sunday. It will be a blast! :cool:

Grandmas are great!!!
When we lived close to our grandchildren, we would have them spend the night. We started at about 3 mos. old. We stopped everything and just played with them. :D It was so much fun and the oldest can still remember it.
My grandma lived with us. We couldn't get by with doing anything wrong. It was like having 2 mamas. If one didn't get you the other one would. ;)

She's doing ok right now. She's just gotta keep laying off the walking and use ice packs and stuff like that. Last night, she only took half a painkiller because the pain had stopped and that's good news! :)
I just don't see why she's so stubborn about using the brace the doctors gave her. It won't help her knee any if she doesn't use it. :(
But at least she's using her walker and, of course, our support. Thank you guys again! I will keep you imformed! :)
