Collect Questions

Hi everyone. I am leaving on Thursday to go home for a week and a half. So I won't be around for a while. My Mom and Dad and 6 sisters and brother and my son lives in Pa. I am really excited. I haven't been home in 5 years. My mom and dad are really excited. They sent me the money to be able to make the trip. Otherwise this trip would never have happened. I know this could be the last time I see my dad. He has prostate cancer. He is in his 70's. The cancer is getting worse. He tries not to tell me too much, just like I try not to tell them too much about me. It's just too depressing.
I am praying that some how I will be able to see my son. He will turn 19 in July. I haven't seen him since he was 10. He lives with his dad's mom. There is a long story behind why I haven't seen or talked too him. To make a long story short lets just say that his dad didn't want to pay child support. He had to find a way out, and he did. When my son was 9 he left for his weekend visit with his dad. His dad took my son to the emergency room and made my son say that my boyfriend had punched him in the chest. I lost my son and never got him back. Before this I believed in the courts. Now I don't. I thought if I just went in there and was very truthful that it would all work out. Boy, was I wrong. So anyway my son was always afraid to talk to me after this. I just hope that he comes around.
So I'll be back in 2 weeks.

That is great that u will be going off with your family on a trip, i hope u do see your son. I am very sorry to hear that he was taken away. i wish u a safe flight, and that u have a great time.

Polly such a sad story but I know it will finally turn out good for you...have faith....... too bad divorce has to be so nasty with some people, like your ex. and we call this a civilized world we live in?

I too hope that the trip works out great for you. You can see your dad and make peace with your son. Wouldn't that be a great home coming. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

Glad you are getting to go home, Polly.
Okay, so to every cloud there is a silver lining. And since I feel like I share nothing but bad news, the good news is I've lost 2 more pounds, the healthy old fashioned way, slowly. That is 9 pounds and counting.


Well, I haven't left yet. My 5 year old woke up with a fever and was throwing up. So I gave her some medicine and she is sleeping now. I guess we will leave later today. We will probably have to drive start through. Oh well. I better go and make sure I have everything packed.
Lori- that's great that you are losing weight. It's best to take it off slow.
Rich-not sure were in Pa you live. We are going to Martinsburg which is right outside of Altoona. Most of my sisters live in Altoona.
Granny- we go straight up I-95.
