Collect Questions

1 Attachment(s) I've been doing a great deal of thinking about the upcoming National Conference in Boston -- alot of internal conflict as on the one hand, having been only fairly recently diagnosed I REALLY want to go and become more educated about p/pa. On the other hand, it's been difficult to justify the expense, knowing the other financial demands that will present themselves around the same time (11YO daughter going back to school, and both my son & I having college tuition due).
Bottom line, I've finally reconciled that my need for this is genuinely worthwhile and will ultimately be of benefit to my entire family. I already had the support of my son (who, God love him, yesterday offered to pay for my airfare, himself), but now also have the backing of my ex-husband. Discussed it with him this morning and he agreed unequivocally that I should go.
SOOOOOOO ... I'll be there in Boston, and am really looking forward to meeting many of you!! :D

The only thing keeping me from Boston is my son Stephen who is coming to spend 2 weeks with me during conference time. Do we have a date for next year??? Hopefully it will be closer to our part of the continent next year.

DALLAS would be awfully nice!! Steve did say that San Antonio was a consideration at one time, but turned out to be too pricey. And, as he pointed out, pretty hot in August -- I'm afraid we're in the wrong part of the country for a summer convention.
I think I may have read in the Advance that the announcement for next year's conference will be made in Boston??

We are planning to to to Denver in October and then bringing our kids+family here for Christmas. That's 5 from Denver and 1 from Seattle. That's about all our retirement budget will allow.

It all depends on if they work out all the details by the time we get to Boston. Last year, at San Diego, they announced the date of this year's conference and the fact that it was going to be held "somewhere on the east coast". Unfortunately, Boston is such a pricey City that it took several months of long negotiations before they felt comfortable enough to tell us that we were going to Boston.
The good news is that the NPF has been rotating locations. It is my understanding that the first ever NPF conference was in San Francisco. Since then, it's been held in Orlando, Chicago, San Diego, and now Boston. (At one time, there was a very vocal group who were lobbying for Philadelphia. Here's a link: .) My guess is that next years conference will either be in the Southwest or the Northwest. No stuffing the ballot box!!! (That's only legal in certain parts of New Jersey! :D )

Joe's is a bit south from where you're going to be driving. It's in South Beach, Miami!! But if you are ever there it's a must!!! South Beach is a trip. LOL, ask Chaim!!! I just realized the funny I made. I tripped on my first night on our last visit to South Beach. Met Chaim in a cast!!!
