Collect Questions

A couple were walking around a gallery looking at paintings when they stopped in front of a very bleak and storm tossed picture. The picture showed a lonely and dismal cottage in the middle of a dark and steep valley, the sky was black and it looked as if a storm was about to break.
"How depressing" the woman said to her husband
The artist on hearing her comment got out of his seat and taking a pallet mixed some yellow and gold paint together, he then took a fine paint brush and placed a few flecks of paint in the window of the little cottage. The painting was transformed, the little cottage became a haven of warmth and safety in the midst of uncertainty. The couple smiled and needless to say they bought the painting.
This story was told at my wedding by the minister who compared it to my marriage - when uncertainty and darkness is all around we always have each other to cling to.
This story has stayed with me from that moment to this (9years) and often gives me comfort when I need it most. Sometimes just a little bit of light and warmth can change our whole world.
