Question:
I am on my way to a lovely vacation in southern Florida- Ft. Lauderdale to be exact-- then on to the Florida Keys. I've never been to Florida before, and am trying to find a good hotel that's not too expensive in that area. I have found Expedia.com has given me the best results-- there's one called the Sea Club Resort... it's not the fanciest, but it's cheap and close to the beach, which is all I really care about! Anyone have any suggestions- is this place a total dive, or will it do? As long as we have a place to sleep, I'm happy- so I'm not too particular. Any other suggestions regarding what to see and where to go would also be great. Really, I'm just looking forward to finding a nice spot in the sand and relaxing my days away in the sunny Florida weather... after this New England winter, I'll take all the sun I can get.
Thanks! I appreciate it!
Katie :)
I live down in the Florida Keys and have not heard of the hotel/resort you mentioned ( was it located in Fort Lauderdale or the keys)?. We've been having the best weather down here, I'm sure you'll enjoy no matter where you stay......and because we live off the tourists, we'll enjoy having you here.
I'm in Key Largo--a center for diving and fishing. If you can't afford a private charter boat there are always small boats for rent....unsure of navigating....take a head boat or try the glass bottom boat. You have to get out on the water to enjoy Key Largo.
If you have the time, head down to Key West for a few days of partying and bliss.
In between you have Miami and South beach.
Vacations are the best!!!
www.biddingfortravel.com it's free and then goto priceline. You take a little chance but are guaranteed an area and typically a super good deal. I've used them a lot and have been very satisfied.
Not sure if Fla is high season right now or not.
Thanks! I appreciate it!
