Question:
In the past week:
- there were 2 drug busts in my neighbourhood
- 2 people were murdered within 10 blocks of my house. one a shooting. one a stabbing.
- i called the cops on a guy because he thought i stole his pot, and wouldnt leave me alone
- my best friend got beaten up for supposedly dissing someone like 3 years ago
- 3/4 of the street i live off of was baracaded for like 7 hours while the city's bomb robot dismantled a bomb planted in a field 2 blocks from my house
am i the only one who thinks stuff like this is scary? Im scared for what kind of world I am growing up in, im scared of what kind of world my KIDS will grow up in... will it be a world where no one leaves their house cuz they're too scared? I think about this often... and it terrifies me... what the heck is this world coming to?
Kim, your neighborhood sounds scary. I think you should think about moving. Is there any reason why you have to continue living in this area?

is it your neighborhood or Jordans?? if it is Jordans...then GO BACK HOME!! have him go to your house..if it is Jords then go to his house and just ya no...live there..but if u guyz live in da same neighborhood...dude..im sorry!!good luck!!

Be careful Al.......... but at least we can own handguns here, and now get general concealed licenses.

Ok, now this is just plain silly. The MSP bomb squad had only part of my street blocked off, really about 1/2 of a city block, for a pipe bomb that was found two doors down from my house, for about 3 hours...maybe.
I think you guys need better bomb squads. ;)

Canada has a carry permit system too. Get a load of this, you have to have a permit if you want to carry a gun in your own HOUSE, in Canada!!! They also have permits to carry UNconcealed, like for trappers and Bush pilots up North, eh. ;)
Canada at least has one thing on us. We have one state were even though legal, CCW permits are more rare than in Canada. Hawaii has issued between 1 and perhaps up to 3 permits. Canada has issued around 50+. :D
Hey Kim the world is a scarey place where ever you live. Hang in there and just go about your business of being you and avoid putting yourself in comprosmising situations like you have.

It got this way because parents don't take care of their kids when they are little. Most of them grow up in a day care/babysitter situation, then a school that is not allowed to punish them. No discipline--unruly kids.
Until that changes, it will only get worse.
Not to start an argument about religion, but for any one that reads the Bible, this is exactly what will happen and it will get worse.
