Watzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz uppppppppppppppppppppppppp!!!!!
Whashoooooooooo talken about? (((I forget that short kids name)))
That short actor's anme was Gary Coleman. He played Arnold in the TV sitcom, "Diff'rent Strokes"
His famous line was:
"What choo talkin' 'bout Willis!"
Although he hasn't grown an inch since those days, I hear he drives a Chevy Suburban, one of the largest SUVs on the road.
We usually say somethin' like, "Hey, you!!" (But you'd have to actually hear it said to know where the emphasis is placed ... difficult to describe ... )
1 Attachment(s) Cat,
Have you ever noticed how baaaaaaad actors do the Southern accent? You have to be born with it-huh?
I hate it when people say good morning---
OOOOOOO ... YES, GRANNY!!! HATE that!!! That'd be like me, tryin' to talk like a Boston or New York native ... it doesn't work well! :D
And ain't it funny how much Southern accents vary, state-to-state/region-to-region?? For instance, we don't pronounce those "soft r's" the way they do in Georgia, S. Carolina, etc.
In pgh they say "how yens doing". Where did the line "hows it hanging" come from?
"I'm out of order? Your out of order...this whole room is out of order!!!"
Tim -
Not sure where that phrase, "How's it hangin'?" started, but as kids, we had a popular answer for it, which I can't repeat here, since this is a family venue.
"I'm out of order? You're out of order...this whole trial is out of order!!!"
Al Pacino, from "And Justice For All". Great movie !!!
By the way, what is pgh?
:D :D Pittsburgh :D :D

Way back when before the greeting of "Hey" became popular, if anyone said Hey to me, I would reply, "Save your hay as you might marry a horse some day"........ I used to hate that word... It seemed so impolite, and now almost everyone uses it as a greeting. I have to bite my tongue from replying to it as they might already be married. lol
Hey, ya'll!! :)
Or how bout...............Peace brother.....
As we say in FORT WORTH, TEXAS.........Hey, Bubba!!
Juanita
