Question:
Ok, I don't get it. I thought most of us here are adults. Ok, present company excepted (meaning me. ;) ). Still, in the famous words of Rodney King, can't we all just get along?
As a relative new comer here, I'm not up on all the stuff going on between various factions. But then again, I don't quite understand why there are "various factions." I thought we were here because either we, or our loved ones suffer from Psoriasis and it's extended effects. I thought we were here to help each other.
What do I see? Utter nonsense. People bickering about politics, other non-associated websites, people threatening to not renew their membership, (which would not stop them from posting here by the way) and so on.
Ok, if you WANT to bicker, fine, but can't you keep it civil? And for the record, I'm recommending this to EVERYONE.
TRY not to read false emotions into someone else's post. It will save you a lot of pain. IF you have questions about what someone meant, ASK THEM!!
This petty bickering has to stop. I know it's upsetting many people on the forum, as well as the NPF staff. And I'm afraid if this keeps up, they may shut the forum down for a while. Frankly, I wouldn't blame them one tiny bit.
And while we're at it, can we stop with the innuendo? If you want to say something, but you can't keep it nice, how about sending a PM? Better yet, if you have nothing nice to say, keep it to yourself....naaah, that would never work with this group. ;)
As far as the political thing, I can agree to disagree with just about anyone. There's no need to resort to nasty talk just because I'm right and you're wrong. ;) (Yes, I'm joking here). The way I see it, if a political discussion starts devolving to a nasty argument, then it's time for all parties concerned to stop.
We now return you to your favourite (Canadian for "favorite") argument...I mean discussion. :D

thicken that e-skin. it's all just opinions and a way to waste time (or for entertainment value)
i don't see why people get so bent out of shape about it. it's just the internet! it's just someone else's ignorant opinion or mislead assumption or WHO CARES
stop being dependent on other's acceptance of you (not a personal attack, just a general statement!)
Yes, Joey, we like our basketball up here. they get these little ones started early. Seems NC always has a good team or four. I looooove Duke's coach-Mike S-can't spell his name.
Well said, Al. (I've wanted to post that Rodney King quote sooooo many times but was really afraid it would upset the ol' apple cart!) I think it's just an unfortunate consequence of communication via the keyboard, meaning without benefit of facial expression, tone of voice, etc. -- it's just so, so easy to misunderstand in the moment and have something rub you the wrong way ... especially if you're having a crummy day (which I'm learning happens an awful lot when you have p ... at least it does for me, anyway). :(
Like someone said a few days ago -- it's kinda like a family here and goodness knows, families don't always get along all the time (but most times, ya love 'em, anyway, doggone it!).
I laid in bed and prayed for my new "NPF family" last night ... am very grateful for this place and would hate to lose it!
PS: Joey, your "spice" has made my day, more than once ... I so appreciate your wickedness! :p
wickedness hmmm didnt i mention i was a alterboyyyyyyyyyyyyy shsh lol
funny when i seen cw i thought to my self here comes troubleeeee lol
good trouble tho . nice of you to pray for us here, some of them sure need it . lol
1 Attachment(s) Mmm hmm ... I'll just bet you were an ANGELIC altar boy, too! ;)
PS: I included myself in that prayer, too ... none of us are immune!

There's nothing wrong with a little spice. But I get the feeling from time to time that someone dumped the whole bottle in. ;)
The problem with comunicating through the internet is we type most of our words. No facial expressions, no tones to show maybe some "tongue in cheek" meaning. So before you know it, everyone is pissed off at everyone else when things were not meant to go that way.
I just think we ALL need to take a step back, take a deep breath, and start all over again.
However, I'm afraid that's not likely to happen. :(
I COMPLETLY agree... Its not that its wrong to disagree once in a while or anything, everyone has a right to their own opinions, but its the way we go about presenting those opinions and standing up for them. Its scaring a lot of newbies (and maybe even some long-time members) away from the boards, and ultimately-- these boards are about supporting ppl with psoriasis... And we need to maintain that goal...
