Anyone Else Hear This?
Question:

Listening to a radio show about new medical advances and products I heard the announcer talk about a prototype bandage. Think he said it was call Derma-Itch. It was a joint venture between 3M and Johnson & Johnson. The product currently under research and development is approx 2” X 2” bandage, which covers a wound or scaly patch of skin, (they did mention psoriasis and eczema by name), equipped with a tiny microchip battery which gently messages the patch of skin and removing the scales and relieving the itch but it dose not damage or future irritate the skin. They also mention that they believe the Derma-Itch ( I think that was the name) could be used for healing wounds when they start to heal. Will gently remove scabs and also relieve itch associated with healing. They said eventually the patch could be made to almost any size or shape.
Sounds like it works (this is me talking) almost like Corridon Tape. Removes the scales but this would also relieves the itch. The patch is supposed to last about 3 days. As anyone else heard this story because I can’t find it anywhere and I don’t remember what radio station I was listening to as I was returning from CT and fumbling through the dial.
If you heard this too, please let me know.
Thanks,
Mitch

Hi Mitch,
I cannot help, but I thought of the Cordran [sp?] tape I have used in the past. Sounds like a good thing. Good luck hunting for it.
