Oh no!!! I guess you don't open the windows there too much, huh? Birdies are sweet too. My aunt has a conure named Bodie & he gives raspberries, makes kissie noises, and says "Here kitty kitty kitty", "I love you", & "pretty birdie Bodie". He's good entertainment!

LOL Joey! That reminds me of a cat my Mom and Dad had. She used to run upstairs and put lizards and snakes in the bath tub to save for "later" If she didn't get caught, she'd go get one out after everybody settled for the evening so she had something to play with when she was in for the night.

One of my cats, Joe, he's a crusty ol' codger -- 15+ now. He was a stray my husband happened upon when we first moved to Arizona. A real godsend as I'd JUST lost my baby, Gizmo, a few days before we left Texas, and I was heartbroken. Joe shows up and was practically Gizzie's twin!
I started out keeping him as an outside cat, since he was obviously accustomed to the outdoors. Our house was in the foothills of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve and there were LOTS of critters around to keep my little hunter/gatherer kitty busy.
One day I was out in the backyard -- I could see inside the whole length of the house through a series of french doors -- and I see Joe go trotting by with something in his mouth. He gets to my bedroom and deposits whatever inside my closet, and then runs out. Curious, I make a run inside to investigate and was horrified to discover this darling little ground squirrel sitting there in my closet, staring up at me, alive-as-can-be. I slam the closet door shut, trapping him inside, thinking, oh, terrific ... just HOW am I gonna get this little guy outta here?? I finally decided there was no way ... it's not like I could show him the front door and politely ask him to leave, after all, and I'm imagining sleepless nights with squirrely running loose in the house and my cat going wacko trying to catch him, knocking over lamps and such.
SOOOOO, I went outside and found killer ... brought him back in ... opened the closet door and threw him inside ... and told him, "you ain't comin' out until you've taken care of business, mister!" He did what came natural, of course, and that was the end of the squirrel-in-the-house problem.
Good grief, that's been ... 14 years ago now?? ... and I still feel guilty!! :(

Hi
I really miss not having kittys around anymore. We always had cats all my life untill our last one passed on about 3 years ago. They all do the cutest things. When I was a teenager, I had a cat named "Little Miss Tippy Toes" just Tippy for short. She used to be so proud when she would catch a mouse and would wants us all to praise her. Her favorite spot to bring them to us was to sneak in my bedroon and deposit them in my bedroom slippers!! What a surprise I would have in the morning!! When my husband and I were living in California we decided to get a Himylan. He was a cutie. Then when we moved back to NY we decided to get another Himalyn and took this new one to shows and she got alot of blue ribbons. She was adorable. We met some show people throughout our show tours and became very good friends with a lady not too far from us. She was elderly and had showed her cats for many years. She got ill and ended up in the hospital and nursing home. She asked us to come and get all her kittys and take them to our home to take care of them------26 cats!!. We really ended up having cages and equipment through out our house. When she passed and I became pregnant, we found good homes for all 26 of them They were all beautiful, but tookl alot of work.
My daughter now has 3 kitties and will bring them over to our house whenever we need to love a cat for awhile. With 2 dogs that we have now, our kitty time is usually very limited. They are really fun!!

1 Attachment(s) Here's another recent rare moment that they were laying by each other! Jackson's newest thing is stalking Oreo & pouncing on her when she's not looking. She's 11 and he's 2, so he has WAY more energy. He likes to pounce on my bladder or my chest in the morning too - ow!!
Thanks for sharing all your stories!!!
