Question:
Just finished watching 'From Dusk till Dawn' and found myself really angry at the end of it because IMO, they managed to turn a really promising film into a complete pile of garbage in the 2nd half.
It starts off really well, Clooney, Tarantino and Keitel each seem to have good characters, we have a nice little plotline bubbling along, until we get over the border into Mexico, then it
turned into a load of rubbish.
Can someone tell me why the film turned into a bad vampire movie? If i hadn't been watching it with a load of friends, I'd have turned it off at this point, it wasn't even laughably bad like some B-movies, because it actually had some promise from the opening half of the film.
Secondly: Jeepers Creepers
Again, film started off really well and was genuinely quite creepy up until the point where the monster is revealed and then it all gets a bit silly. a while since I've seen it thankfully so can't remember all the details, but it ruined it for me after that point
Just my 2 cents, what's everybody else's opinions?
I thought that FDTD was so OTT that it was funny.
Yeah FDTD is a masterpiece. The halfway twist is a slap in the face if you don't know it's coming. It's the juvenile pothead splatter movie Tarantino and Rodriguez would have wanted to see in their teens and i'm glad i was in mine when i first saw it.
Yeah, I really enjoyed Dusk till dawn, particularly as I knew what it was actually about but the people I was watching it didn't (including the girl who had actually rented it), it was great seeing there reactions when halfway though it suddenly turned into a great OTT vampire flick!
I hate Lord of the Rings!!!

its just one big battle scene, i enjoyed it but, its kinda like fast food, i shouldn't enjoy it but i still do.
I liked Dusk Till Dawn, I knew what kind of film it was to begin with and see it as a homage to bad b movies. I mean you cansee that from teh way the vamps look and die, not to mention the fact that you have characters like "sex machine"
Terminator - one big chase and some of the most wooden acting ever - that's it!
Heat - overstylised, overacted, overrated.
blimey, no one's mentioned Titanic yet :D
Meet the Parents. the least funny 'comedy' ever made.
I couldn't understand why Ben Stiller didn't just punch Bobby DeNiro in the face and tell him to go EDIT himself.
& the girlfriend's role was so poorly written, there was absolutely no indication that she even liked him, let alone loved him enough for him to put up with all the ***** he went through.
hate it hate it hate it.
bought it unseen off the forums, watched it, hated it. Had to bring it in to work & put it in a drawer while I was trying to sell it, because I couldn't stand for it to be in my house. :)

i was half expecting a bit of a bashing from some of the LOTR fanboys, nevertheless two towers is just one huge battle scene, people can rave on about the LOTR all day and all night but thats still all it is, a big battle sequence.

Titanic. :p
And Pulp Fiction really annoys me too. Some nice set pieces but nothing much besides.
...and now I can feel myself getting really annoyed!
i thought the first hour of Two Towers was pants, but my girlfriend reminded me that i was wrong.
Still, nothing can beat Eyes Wide Shut - completely underwelming
Swingers - The phrase 'money' simply makes me go mental.
"You're so money" AAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHRRRRR!!!!!!
Pearl Harbor
The Tricky Master - I hate Wong Jing! KILL 'IM!
Titanic
Fight Club - boring, stupid, pointless.
Star Wars Episode II - a big mess, MUCH preferred Episode I.
Most Tarantino films.
Dusk til Dawn i thought was great film, brillant all the way through. Spose its bit like marmite you either like it or you dont:noid:
Nashie- i was joking...
2001: A Space Oddesy - Really annoys me, it's just boring all the way through, it's not that i didn't understand it, JUST BORING.
I await bashin'.
Seen this question on a few forums and have to give the same answer as usual - -THE CUBE.............Is by far the most annoying thing I have ever sat through. This film irritates me right to the core and Im not totally sure why - - but even now Im getting frustrated.......(need to bang head hard now)BYE.

now I really liked the cube, in an odd kinda way.
What I hated was waterworld, perfect storm and most period costume drama's you care to name.

So thats what you'd do aprout
Too many films annoy me these days, and the majority of them are American teen flicks i.e Coyote Ugly, Dude Where's my car, etc.
I'm another who loves From Dusk Till Dawn and I also love Swingers, Meet The Parents, Heat, Pulp Fiction, LOTR but then I guess that's what it's all about - opinions! If we all liked the same films, DVD and cinema would be so boring......
Anyway, films that annoy me:
Armageddon
Independence Day
Titanic
Pearl Harbor
There are SO many more but thats a start!
Anything with Ice-T in. Can't stand the man!
Road Trip - I get so annoyed overhearing people talk about how funny Tom Green(?) is. Am I missing something?
The Piano Teacher because the credits appear well after the start of the film
Mine would have to be 4 wedding & a funeral. I've seen it long time and remembered liking it, then recently I've purchased and re-watched it and got sooooo annoyed, mainly by Andie MacDowell I must say.
Ghost World.
Bought it on high recommendation from a (ex;))friend
Totally boring, the lead girl really annoyed me too, had a couple of reasonable points but nothing worth mentioning.
Signs. It looked so promising , I expected so muc...and it's total crap. I mean... weak plot, big big holes, stupid monsters...

Awful movie. Just. So. Damn. Dull.
Any "brit-flick" from the past decade or so. Either the work of 6th-formers (all those awful cockney gangster films), depressing (nil by mouth, etc), or "eeh by gum, aint it grand" garbage like brassed off, full monty, etc. And anything with Hugh grant in.
And The Thin Red Line - another tedious trawl through the US war machine.

I loved Road Trip but would have to agree with the Tom Green remark. Maybe the American's just think he's so "zany" !!!
Braveheart - lots of shouting, lots of running, a pantomime villain, and an ageing Australian in a dress. Absolute tosh.

And to add to that probably the most inaccurate film ever made !!!

Try The Parole Officer Bluedwarf, a very good "brit-flick", very funny.
Agree with you on TTRL - I mean sloooow or what, if I wanted to see something that looked nice, and where nothing happened, I would go to an art gallery.
I also hate From Dusk Til Dawn! They should have meade a seamless branching version ofr the cinema - those who want to seee the rest of the film stay here all those who want to see a vampire movie go to the next screen!
Also I think Desperado is overated though El Mariachi is good. Amd Tom Green in Road Trip annoyed me too - made that film 50% worse than it already was!
Also cannot stand Snatch! It's RUBBISH!
I don't like watching James Bond films, too far-fetched for me, how he manages to get out of every situation.
Anything that entails the "American Dream".
All this "Gee, makes you proud to be American huh!" nonsense makes me wanna puke..
Anything by Mr Madonna - Lock Stock and Snatch are both sooooo ..... (pauses to remember terms and conditions) ..... grrrr:mad:

Obviously the exception to the "American Dream" rule is Scarface. Then again - it's probably one of the few films that mocks this American Dream theory. One of the all time greatest films without a doubt.
There must be someone else out there who HATES THE CUBE!!!Please someone join me on this. And the Tom Green issue - anyone seen "Freddy got Fingered"? Now that is Green to the max - - some of the things he does in that are just sick. Wont leave any spoilers but the guy seriously needs help. You either love him or hate him.
