Hi,
I bought a copy of Oceans 11 from Tesco, but I cannot get it passed the main menu. When I press play it freezes and won't budge.
Can anyone confirm if this is the same problem that Jaws and LA Con. have. I have an original dvd750 without microcode upgrade.

i had the same problem and had to use the goto method to watch it.
Yeah, same problem, although mine is an American disc. The rpoblem I get is that the player seems to lock up completely, but still plays the movie. To get it going again, I have to switch off on the front panel, and restart. Usually sorts out the problem.

Did you not get your player replaced when Wharfedale released the upgraded version. Took ours back to tesco, got it replaced straight off. I think, but don't quote me, that if you try and play an R2 version of Gladiator, you'll have problems too.
Follow this sequence for Ocean's 11 bliss on the Wharfdale!
Access
Program
Select chptr 1 - tracks ALL
and press play
Bingo!

Contact Tesco and/or Wharfedale to see if they are still doing the upgrades, there's no reason not to do it as the same multi-region hack works after the upgrade!

My parents Wharfedale played the movie just fine when I lent it to them!
