Question:
If this is the wrong forum please move, i cant think of a better place for it. Recently just broken the 100 mark on my dvd collection, and really need to expand, another consideration is i need my storage to be enclosed due to one of our cats dirty habits (believe me i want rid of it, but the rest of the family disagree grrrr). Saw some brilliant towers in tower records but my local branch has just closed before i could go get one, so im now back at square 1, would like something which isnt room height but preferably around half that. Im interested to hear what you guys all use.
Thanks for reading.
I created some shelves in my wardrobe which has also had to be added to as I got more DVD's.
The reason why I use my wardrobe is that it can be locked so my brother can't nick any of them. He had he habit of taking the discs and leaving the case to make me think it was still on the shelf.
I did have to get rid of some stuff to make room for the shelves though.
I don't like the tower things as they look like they tip over if you touch them.
I had a unit that was for books but I used it for DVD's and the whole thing fell over and DVD's went everywhere.
I would buy some cheap shelves that can go on a wall and put bookends at the ends.
Would do the shelf thing buy im in a loft conversion with sloaped ceiling so not much space. :(

Thanks :) , but really need something with doors on it!
I seem to recall you can buy doors for the Billy range at Ikea, but they're not shown on the website last time I looked.
Hmmm ill look into it, ta..
I just had a thought.
I have clear plastic sliding doors which I made myself on my av unit. It uses white runners to make the plastic slide.

You could get a cheap bookcase like what I had and do something similar.
Hmmmm funky... if i didnt have the carpentry skills of a gibbon id give it a go... might ask me dad tho
Billy range in IKEA - can get full length or half length doors.
Thanks for reading.
