Question:
I just watched The Royal Tenenbaums on dvd, and its easily one of the best films of last year. So i'm keen now to see rushmore which people seem to say is just as good, although all that seemed to be available at DVDSoon was a barebones disc. So is a decent version of this film no longer available?
cheers
You want the Criterion Version then.

Criterion DVD is a top notch release. :)
The Criterion release looks like it's still available, details here (http://www.criterionco.com/asp/release.asp?id=65).
Not only that but they have The Royal Tenenbaums and are going to release "Bottle Rocket" at some point in the not too distant future. I haven't seen any of them other than about 60% of "Bottle Rocket" when it was on Film Four some time ago, I'd have seen the rest of it but ITV Digital saw fit to switch off the transmission at that point :brickwall Anyway, if they are all of a similar standard/style then I will be getting them in the future (once my finances recover sufficiently that is :(;))
Edit Doh! Spent too long typing obviously ;) Anyway three recommendations inside five minutes can't be too bad :)
I still think Bottle Rocket is the best of Wes's films... Roll on the criterion version.
For Rushmore, you'll pay through the nose for it but the Criterion version is the version to own.
£22 from DVD Boxoffice!!! (http://www.dvdboxoffice.com/description.asp?pid=10036247)

I think it is £19.99 from CD-wow at the moment but careful of those customs charges.
EDIT: Or maybe not - it was there yesterday - strange
This is interesting - could we have our next OOP? - It seems none of the Canadian stores have stock.
