Question:
Well...we've had Superman, spiderman, batman and xmen. Soon to come are xmen2, incredible hulk and daredevil. Does anyone know what else is coming out and when?
Fantastic Four has been filmed and shelved, pending a full blown $100m+ spectacular. Expect that to happen soon, especially if the the could-go-either-way Daredevil does big business.
Ghost Rider in the works appaently with Nicholas Cage.
Sounds good to me......I can't wait for any of those to come out.
I've also heard rumours about Nicholas Cage being the next Superman. I can actually see him fitting the role quite well....except for the hair of course.

Flame On!!
Read on darkhorizons today that Brett Ratner is doing auditions for Superman worldwide, trying to get an unknown. The guy who plays Vinnie on Home and Away was mentioned.
Anyway, other superhero based films (in various stages of development) are:
Hellboy
League of extraordinary gentlemen
Spawn 2 (ugh!)
There are also talks for The Punisher and The Sub-Mariner movies.
try here (http://www.comics2film.com/) for Super hero film shinanigans.
David Hayter (X-Men 1 and 2) is currently writing the script, and waiting for the greenlight, on
Watchmen
Can this be made into a 2 hour film  ? I wish him all the luck!

Finger crossed that it won't. Genius book that just can't be done justice in a 2 hour film.
Can't wait!! (http://www.countingdown.com/movies/punisher)
But can it be better that Dolph???
I sadly enjoyed dolph in that role!!
Pixar are making an animated film called The Incredibles. It's not actually based on a comic book story, but it is about a family of undercover superheroes. The director is Brad Bird who made The Iron Giant. I think it is slated for a 2004 release.
:oh-hum: Nicolas Cage has been linked to every super hero film in pre-production. Hes a complete comic :dork: even though he apparently sold his collection.

Nick Cage was also down to play Constantine from Hellblazer but now Keanu's up for it!!!!11111
Don't these people even read the comics?
Ironicly Nick Cage has never been lined up for an adaptation of Nick Cage: Hero for Hire

Doh, i ment Luke Cage.
The Preacher movie is actually in pre production with the fella who plays Cyclops in the X Men to play the Preacher.
Crap bit of casting if you ask me.
With that and the woman who made Tank Girl directing i'm not holding much hope for it.

Nik Cage was cast to play Superman in ''Superman Lives'' ,the story based on the Death of Superman storyline from the comic's.Tim Burton was to direct with Jon Peters as Producer with a script by Kevin Smith.
Rumored changes Peter's/Burton wanted to make
* In an early draft Superman is killed by Doomsday but, by immaculate conception inpregantes Lois. She later die, but not before she gives birth to the new Superman who grows 21 years in three weeks and saves the world.
* They disliked the suit, changing it to the black and silver version.
* Peters wanted to push he idea of Supes as an outsider, and the difficulties that he had with that.
* He wanted to cast Sean penn because he "has the eyes of a killer and the charisma of a caged animal".
* When Burton came onboard he did away with Superman flying, seemingly just because he didn't like the effect. He put him in the Super-mobile.
* He toyed with the suit, concepts including a semi-translucent suit that you could see Supes' organs through and an all black Batman-like suit.
* Hulk Hogan was approached to play Doomsday.
* Chris Rock was approached to play Jimmy Olsen.
* Superman was to be reliant on gadgets, like in Burton's Batman films.
There were loads of other story details, mostly pushed by Peters, such as Superman's polar bear bodyguards, the merging of Luthor and Brainiac to become either Lexiac or Luthinac (Burton apparently hadn't decided which).

Fantastic Four was filmed because Roger Corman who owned the right to the franchise had to make a movie by a certain time or he would lose the rights. So the movie was made very cheaply just to get a movie out to retain the rights. The actors all throught it was a real movie and were un aware it was never going to be released.
Stan Lee talks about it on the Stan Lee's Mutants, Monsters, and Marvels DVD

How did you manage to miss Blade from that list ??
Or did I just dream that Blade was a Superhero comic ??!!??
Blade was a comic although he was only really popular during the 70's.
I heard Iron Man is gonna be made!:smokin:
talking of crap casting, Alan Cummings as Nightcrawler in XMen2, when i heard this my heart sank, and then this morning i saw a pic of him in costume and i wanted to slit my wrists, they couldnt even give him some makeup that would disguise his face, it`s just alan cummings with a blue face!

MIB's are also comic-book heroes!
I think Mystery Men is based on a comic, as is Ghost World (though that's not really superheroes - mind you, neither's the first).
Saw the trailer for Dare Devil the other day, man does it look bad or what :(
Seems to have been a flood of movies bases upon comics lately, one that I would like to see being made into a movie is 'The Flash'.
There was a so-so tv-series, but would be interested to see what they would do to it on the big screen.

He did say Super hero's though.
If you include all comic book films you could add 'Road to Predation' and 'From Hell'.
