Question:
OK so I know that BTTF (R1) is supposed to be anamorphic, but when I play it the the Universal "globe" isn't properly round, but "egg shaped".
I have my TV set to auto widescreen which on every other anamorphic film it comes up with "WIDE" and looks fine. BTTF doesn't do this and it's flippin annoying.
Good old Universal, hold the film back for eyes and then still screw it up!

the Universal scene might not have an anamorphic flag which tells your TV when to switch screen ratios i think.
But the rest of the movie it fine right ?
nope the movie doesn't seem right.
When the glove comes up at the start of the film it's not round.
I give up with dvd some times
Can't you just manually put your TV into 'WIDE' mode?
or better still put your tv in 16 x9 mode !
Why have universal screwed it up RE:anamorphic? Do you think they would release a DVD these days non anamorphic? It works fine for me on my widescreen tv set.
