"An island full of zombies. Awful Zombies."

Utter carp.
Jeesas..thats gotta be one of the worst trailers Ive seen in a long time..voice over man is pulling out all the stops on this one..why fer gods sake do the studios use this geezer for every type of genre imaginable???
One for the bargain bin in Woolies methinks!
Ever since seeing that trailer for The Comedian I cannot watch any trailer with voiceover man with a straight face.
Yesterday, just before Two Towers, there was an advert for 8 Mile and when 'voiceover man' said the cheesiest thing at the end (something 'every chance is worth taking' or something like that) I absolutely cracked up
That House Of The Dead does look pretty naff as well - i'll probably like it ;) :D
*Waits for Lenny Nero to arrive and proclaim that this film will be a cinematic masterpiece* :D
WOHOOO
Shats. :oh-hum:
Well......
I thought it looked quite good as a no brainer Zombie flick
You never know :norty:
Why do studios bother buying computer game licences if they aren't going to use the game as the basis of the plot?!?
:dork:

Never fear! For I is here!
When I first clicked on the thread it for some reason registered as a House of 1000 Corpses Trailer online thread... but that Rob Zombie flick might be a bit too grisly for me, plus it deals with some crazy clowns or something, I hate that. Now, zombies is a whole other thing. Zombies on an island is better! Lots of awful zombies on an island based on a video game is great!
I think this will be the movie to tie me over until Resident Evil: Nemesis.
I really liked the trailer, very cool, like that guy jumping in the air with a shotgun in slow motion, or another putting a gun to a zombie's scull and shooting him point blank. Or another guy fighting with a headless zombie. Or a girl firing 2 pistols at the camera. This might be as good as the Japanese Versus flick!
Of course I like it for chrissakes, or I wouldn't be I!
Edit:
I didn't bother capturing stills from a quicktime trailer but here are a few photos I like, with regular "stoopid" remarks:

Time to kick ass and chew bubblegum. We're all out of bubblegum!

Nothing's finer than a fine woman cocking a shotgun. :D

Wazzuuuup! Great makeup btw, no CGI, back to the old style.

How yoo doin'!
:notworthy
Oh well the bouncing tittys shot at the end wasn't bad
Having said that, some of the zombie scenes looked pretty good and gory, but the rest of it looks awful - on a rave sponsered by Sega...then it just sort of comes to a halt before telling you the real plot and then ending with a huge explosion.
Was it me, or do the Zombies look like they are partying and stuff in some scenes?

To the people talking about the voiceover man...can you help me out here? What's so weird about that? Do you not have voice overs in your trailers in the UK (I'm in the states).

It's just that he, and maybe a second similar sounding guy, do ALL the trailers and there is just so many ways you can introduce/narrate one, so many similar lines are born to the point of ridicule and amusement, like "In a world..." that becomes self-referenced and joked about by actors, etc, and this trailer, The Comedian, has some self-mocking that does all those familiar lines, check it out:

Oh, btw, Resident Evil's trailer has a nice woman's voice for narration!
