Very disappointed to see that the quality of the discs isn't great and that one of them isn't even anamorphic! Compare this to Carlton's Camping which is anamorphic and has an excellent transfer. Also, the recent Region 1 releases of the first 12 films are pretty good too given their age, and they are all anamorphic!
Thanks for that review, just starting to buy the Carry on's, got the "R1 12 Box set" recently, and these five to come, when are the next bunch due? And why aren't they releasing them in order they were made.
Also I wanna buy "Camping" is there a another planned release of this, I've heard the present one is a good Disc with nice Transfer, and Extras, so I'm thinking no. Should I buy now.

The next two batches are:
12th May
Carry On Dick
Carry On Behind
Carry On Emmannuelle
Carry On Camping
7th July
Carry On Up The Jungle
Carry On At Your Convenience
Carry On Loving
Carry On Up The Khyber
Carry On Henry
Carry On Matron
Carry On England
I don't know why they're doing them in that order, or why so many are due in one chunk in July (presumably they'll be doing some sort of promotion across the range). I wonder if the availability of Jim Dale to provide commentary tracks influenced their choice of Doctor and Again Doctor?
I don't know what Carlton are planning for Camping, but I'd suggest that it would be an obvious choice for a Barbara Windsor commentary track. The new disc probably won't have the documentary that's on the current release - but who knows, maybe Carlton will simply re-package that particular title?
I've just received a copy of Don't Lose Your Head, so can confirm what the extras are:
Jim Dale provides a commentary track, the Carry On Laughing episode is The Prisoner of Spenda, and there's a stills gallery and theatrical trailer.
The disc is anamorphic (yay!)
Oh what ablow this all is ( to my credit card ) now I may have to replace my collection.

Just to make them more tempting, there are a number of behind the scenes specials making it onto future releases in the series, although Carlton have not yet said which ones. Also, there are deleted scenes available for some of the films (I have clips from England, Henry, Don't Lose your Head and a few others that didn't make it into the final prints).
I've seen the same discs as Julian and he's right - they're top releases.

BRILLIANT!"!!!! Dick and most of the 3rd batch are classics, will get the rest to make up me collection!
Hopefully they'll at least put it in the correct aspect ratio this time, rather than just cropping the picture
What ratio are they supposed to be in, then? In many cases, "just cropping the picture" is exactly what's needed to recreated the original theatrical ratio!
