what was the top 10 then?
Missed this as well, just been looking of the Beeb's site and couldn't the Top 10 listed anywhere. Did find these comments on the forum there though.
Donnie Darko at number 2? Brilliant, great to see this film getting some recognition. Congratulations to everyone who voted for it on your excellent taste ;-)

Hehe, I voted for it (and LOTR of course). I was surprised to see Spider-man so low down the list, and even more surprised at it being below Star Wars. Not that I'm complaining, I'm still trying to decide whether or not I liked Spidey's shenannigans. But good to see Mulholland Drive too, and I was pleased that Minority Report, the most intelligent (and best) blockbuster of the year was above Peter Parker and Annakin 'you're so unfair! I hate you!' Skywalker, and third only to Donnie Darko and LOTR. Nice one.

Oops, wait, it was 4th, Ocean's 11 was 3rd - still great.
So from that we can deduce the Top 4 (maybe 5):
1. LOTR
2. Donnie Darko
3. Ocean's 11
4. Minority Report
5. Star Wars Ep.II (?)
Die another day and A Beautiful Mind was in the top ten too.
So that's only one we're missing then. (Unless one of them is Harry Potter which I guess is likely, the guy's username is Harry Potter in the quote above from what I could gather ;) )
Harry Potter COS was also there. Are we still not missing one more?
In that case I make it:
1. LOTR
2. Donnie Darko
3. Ocean's 11
4. Minority Report
?. Star Wars Ep.II
?. Spiderman
?. Mulholland Drive
?. Die Another Day
?. A Beautiful Mind
?. Harry Potter
Yep. Mulholland was no 10 i think.
What no Santa Clause 2, this dam thing must have ben rigged.:|
Yes, Mulholland Drive was at 10. DAD was 9 and Beautiful Mind 5 IIRC.
Scott
By my reckoning that would leave us with something like:
1. LOTR
2. Donnie Darko
3. Ocean's 11
4. Minority Report
5. A Beautiful Mind
6. Harry Potter
7. Star Wars Ep.II
8. Spiderman
9. Die Another Day
10. Mulholland Drive
Any other offers?
Is it repeated?
What about Insomnia? - doh I've just realised that was in the first post of this thread. anyways it is a valid point, why the hell is something like DAD ahead of a genuinely good film like Insomnia?

DigiGuide says it's repeated on the 4th Jan :) @ 1.40pm

Voted. For. By. Film. 2002. Watchers.
Not that I don't watch Film 2002 - but you kind of capture everyone. To be honest I was really surprised that Mulholland Drive and Donnie Darko made it to the top 10.
Has last Monday's Film 2002 been repeated yet - the one with all of The Two Towers interviews? I thought it was going to be on today but, as you all know, it was the films of the year show!

Oh. My. God.
The thing I noticed most was that Jonathan Ross said that LOTR was by far the winner, that it wasn't even a close contest in terms of the number of viewer votes it got (of which mine was one. :) ) :smokin:
Er, wasn't FOTR technically LAST year?
No Black Hawk Down.........:(
I'm surprised none of these featured either: Count of Monte Cristo, Roadkill, Panic Room, Nine Queens, Frailty
Oh ! Just realised, no Signs either !
No Monster's Ball. Definitely one of the best of the year.
Road to Perdition :notworthy
Heads up for those people who missed this, it's on again today at 13.40pm on BBC2

Won't be watching.
