Question:
i can't wait for this:
Fans of the John Carpenter cult classic Assault on Precinct 13 have a new special edition to look forward to, also coming on March 11th from Image Entertainment. This one features a 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer, an English Dolby Digital 5.1 surround track, audio commentary with Carpenter, new video Q&A with Carpenter and star Austin Stoker recorded at the American Cinematheque, an isolated music score, still galleries with production photos, advertising materials and storyboards, the theatrical trailer and radio spots. Retail is $29.95.

Don't do that!
I thought you meant a Hollywood remake for a minute there.
:shocker:
 :D Cool.
 Finally
I assume it'll be the commentary off the Laserdisc

...that might be the case, but the current non-anormorphic, single layer dvd is crying out for a remaster. It should also be interesting to hear the 5.1 remix, but I hope for completeness sake they also include the mono track.
Anyhow, can't believe I stumbled on this thread as I was just about to go looking for info on a rerelease after watching the current lacklustre release yesterday
I'll buy it again when the piccie quality is confirmed - Assault is a fabulous film that I never tire of watching :)
I'll be buying this ... if only for a hopefully nice new pristine remastered picture :)
The bit with the young girl buying the ice cream is one of he most classic moments in cinematic history!

I'll be picking up a copy of this - I love John Carpenter films. The old stuff anyway.
