Pink Floyd 'Pulse' DVD
Question:

I have heard on the grapevine that there will be a release of this DVD sometime in 2003. Can anybody confirm this as fact? I have the VCD which is excellent although is on 2 discs and only in stereo. The DVD would hopefully have the sound in DD 5.1.

I've seen people quote this as fact even though their source always seems to be someone who posted on Usenet. On the other hand, this crops up often enough that maybe there's something in it. Anyway, to answer your question more directly, there hasn't been any confirmation that I know of.
I'd love to have this on DVD, if only to enjoy the concert in the right order. The laserdisc version had to be re-arranged to fit nicely. Any ideas on the extras? Did they record any other shows? I'd love to see Astronomy Domine or Echoes.
EDIT - Welcome to the forums by the way. :)

I heard an interview with Nick Mason on the radio a couple of months ago, and he confirmed that Pulse would be out on DVD in 2003.
He wasn't very specific, but I think he mentioned a 5.1 track, and this wouldn't seem unlikely, as Dark Side of the Moon is getting a 5.1 track on DVD-Audio in 2003 too

According to an interview with David Gilmour in Classic Rock magazine, he is currently mixing a 5.1 version of Pulse for DVD release, sometime in the near future.
Can't wait!!
