[Finally-R1] Noir anime on DVD from ADVision Films!
Question:

I've been waiting and asking around about this for a year, this anime series is out in Japan but you'd need $700 to get it all, about a $1 a min of anime at 2eps 25min eps per volume.
Now suddenly I get a ShareTheLove notification email about a first 125min volume of Noir: Shades of Darkness. Comes in 2 versions, $30 and $45 retail, I guess the second one will contain some physical extras like Hellsing, and 5 eps per volume based on running time, means there should be a 5 volume total run.
http://www.advfilms.com has a banner on the left for their new Noir site:
http://www.whatisnoir.com/
which doesnt have much yet but you can sign up for notification via email once its updated.
There is a trailer however, check it out.
I'm so happy! After all the Bubblegum Crisis and Armitage III releases, Noir and Hellsing have been the most desired for me.
Anyway, the first volume comes out on February 18th.
Dates for another 3 are also somewhat announced to retailers but can be shaky:
Noir Vol. 2 on April 15th
Noir Vol. 3 on May 13th
Noir Vol. 4 on June 24th!

The $45 version will come with a box for the rest of the series and a T-shirt.

Noir was good, but now that I've seen the end, I can't really see myself watching it again, except maybe for the first few episodes where there isn't so much plot, but rather just the odd assassination for plain ole money.
