Question:
Sat through Outbreak last night. It "starred" this lot...
Dustin Hoffman
Rene Russo
Morgan Freeman
Kevin Spacey
Cuba Gooding Jr.
Donald Sutherland
...and still the biggest pile of cack I've seen in a long while.
Biggest waste of talent ever, or, do you know something more deserving?
Symo
watched this when it first came out ... I remember it to be a good film, forgot to watch it last night :(
I love Outbreak, it's one of those films I can watch again and again. Probably the worst waste of talent ever was Hook -
Steven Spielberg
Robin Williams
Dustin Hoffman
Julia Roberts
Bob Hoskins
Maggie Smith
Not to mention cameos by Glenn Close and a young Gwyneth Paltrow. Oh my god it's boring.
Outbreak is great stuff from Wolfgang Peterson..8/10
Well, can't argue with you guys. One man's meat and all that. But I'll try ;)
I thought it used every cliche in the book and who'd have guessed how the last 10 minutes would go
Just all seemed a bit, I don't know, lazy? somehow. It was if they got together a great cast and then just did it by the numbers.
Perhaps I just wasn't in the right mood? Trouble is, I don't really feel able to revisit it to find out.

Oh yes, pure cack that one
Copland
Stallone
Ray Liotta
Robert Patrick
Harvey Keitel
Robert De Niro
Michael Rapaport
Stallone playing a fat, deaf cop who gets bullied ... my a**e! :D (isnt this were his career started taking a slide!)
I thought that Copland was excellent! Stallone's performance was spot on and I think he reminded people that he could act, after quite a few films of not having to bother.....
8/10 for me, great stuff, really well made, so much better than perfect storm, also by petersen.
Outbreak is so so...
Sphere is pant wettingly bad...zzzzzZZZZZzzzzzz
Copland is excellent. Engrossing with wonderful performances!
Outbreak & Copland are very good films IMO & you really get into the characters in them. Sphere though... hmmm TBH I had no idea WTF it was on about half the time lol :D
Outbreak is a cracker, and I've always loved this movie. Maybe some people forget that Cuba Gooding Jr and Kevin Spacey have bit parts because they weren't exactly house-hold names when this came out. So then their roles are seen as 'lazy' and a 'waste of talent' rather than the supporting roles (for then obscure actors) that they actually are.

I like Outbreak, Sphere and Copland.... and I'm not that easily pleased either.
I hold Copland as Satllone's career high, his best movie to date. An excellent cast too.

Shame Debbie Harry's part got cut out though (other than close up of hands and the odd background shot).
dunno why, but Outbreak always reminds me of Qunicy.

Outbreak and Copland are good movies. Hook isn't! Good call.
How about Rocky and Bullwinkle?
TPM? ... sorry. ;)
I've got Outbreak, think it is a pretty good film  , don't watch it often as it is kinda depressing what with all that dying/disease in it.
Outbreak does have some truly cliche'd moments, with corny dialogue and some suspect acting.
Worst moment, the bit where Hoffman and Gooding try to stop the plane dropping the bomb, and Freeman says something like "don't get in the way of the plane or it can't drop the bomb" etc :oh-hum:
