Question:
Bought a carlton boxset yesterday of Randall and Hopkirk, checked all the discs, one of them had a hard gluey piece stuck on the protective layer, after I removed it the disc had 2 small black marks on which wont come off,the dvd appears to play fine but im not sure with time if it will get worse (disc rot ,picture break up) Do I keep it or Change it ?
If it plays now, it probably will be Ok. But I would still change it. Where did you get it from?
Depends on how fussy you are. I'm pretty anal so although I would forgive a blemish (as long as it is only a blemish and not scratched) from a trade disc (as long as I was aware of it and the disc played), if I bought a new item and it wasn't perfect I'd get it exchanged for a flawless one. When you buy new you should be able to expect a flawless product IMO.
Same happened with my copy of Minority Report - dirty mark thingy which won't come off.
Luckily, the disc plays fine - so no need to take it back I hope!
