Just got this recently and was amazed as to how it got a 12 certificate.

iirc it's PCM stereo which to my mind is excellent - i'd rather have an optimum quality stereo representation of the originals than a multi-channel (compressed) remix.
The sound is pretty dodgy in places especially for a PCM soundtrack.
One other thing I noticed was on the first couple of tracks (Very noticeable on Unfinished Sympathy) the picture seems jittery, alomost like a field dominance or 3:2 pullodown effect.
Please can someone check their copy?

Also I am told that the DVD is all region.
One other thing I noticed was on the first couple of tracks (Very noticeable on Unfinished Sympathy) the picture seems jittery, alomost like a field dominance or 3:2 pullodown effect.
not entirely sure what field dominance means, but it looks **** on mine too!
i seem to remember the sound was good on this...i'll check tomorrow.
Usually in broadcast the Field 1 is leading i.e Dominant. If it becomes reversed for whatever reason (Tele-cine error) then it will look flickery on panned shots etc.
I wouldn't have thought this would be an issue as it was probably shot onto film as frames rather than interlaced.
One thing which struck me about the sound was the bass levels were very high and it lacked any midrange.
