Question:
I've been told that you should not choose 6.1 DTS if you don't have 6.1 set up? Does it not feed through 5.1 channels that DTS? Then I hear people listen to the DTS soundtrack, but I don't imagine they have a 6.1 set up. Confusing as I would of prefered 5.1 DTS to make it clear, 6.1 I'm not sure works as good on 5.1 set ups, so I watched LOTR Extended with 5.1 EX
Anyone help out here.
The DTS track worked fine on my 5.1 system. :)
If you choose DTS6.1 the DTS5.1 decoder will just extract the DTS5.1 content and play that, it will not cause any problems.
Cheers, always thought this, just wanted to make sure.

What he said. The DTS-ES is superb played through my 6.1 amp though, excellent use of the surround back channel.
Sean, I see you've still to get the hang of this! See here (http://Here.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=96563).
